Pretty Little Liars‘ Tyler Blackburn is leaving Rosewood again — this time for a Brave New World, as in the title of an NBC comedy pilot.
TVLine has learned that Blackburn has officially joined the cast of Peter Tolan’s (Rescue Me) quirky single-camera project, playing John Lichtfield, just one of many unusual characters in the workplace comedy that follows a pack of theme park employees who specialize in recreating 1600s New England.
Veteran actor Ed Begley Jr. (St. Elsewhere, Six Feet Under) and Nick Braun (10 Things I Hate About You) are already set to star in the potential series.
And just to ease your minds, PLL fans, Blackburn’s casting does not mean Caleb won’t return to the ABC Family hit next season. As we told you earlier this week, production on Liars resumes in the next few days, which means the show has some time to resume the “Haleb” storyline before the actor is needed in the New World. As executive producer Olive Goldstick told us, “We will indeed see our Caleb again, and there is hope for Caleb/Hanna fans when he returns. [Tyler] will be available to us until July, so we’re not that concerned.”
What say you, Blackburn fans? Ready to see the star in a comedic role? Happy he’ll be back on Liars? Let us know in the comments!
