And Just Like That: Carrie Embraces A 'New Chapter' (With Aidan?) In Season 3 Trailer — Plus, Get Premiere Date

A hot Carrie summer is interrupted by New York City rats — as well as the possible reigniting of an old flame — in a new trailer for Season 3 of Max's And Just Like That..., which the streamer unveiled on Tuesday.

TVLine also has learned that the 12-episode season will debut Thursday, May 29 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT, with weekly drops through Aug. 14.

In the trailer, which you can watch above, Carrie is still exchanging postcards with Aidan (although they're blank), while considering a fresh romance with a neighbor. Meanwhile, Lisa gets a work crush in new cast addition Mehcad Brooks, Seema cycles through a string of unsatisfying first dates and Charlotte's daughter Lily makes out with a male ballet dancer. And speaking of ballet: This is still New York after all, so Carrie also has to deal with rats "prancing around like in The Nutcracker" in her backyard.

A continuation of Sex and the City, And Just Like That... brings back Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) to reprise their SATC roles. (Kim Cattrall, aka Samantha, returned for a Season 2 cameo.) Last season, which wrapped up in August 2023, ended with Carrie saying goodbye to rekindled love Aidan, who decided to stay in Virginia to take care of his sons... but asked Carrie to give him another chance in five years. (To refresh your memory, read our full finale recap here.)

For Season 3, And Just Like That... is adding several luminaries to the cast, including Rosie O'Donnell, Patti LuPone (Agatha All Along) and Kristen Schaal (What We Do in the Shadows). Prior to that, though, there was a mini cast exodus, with Sara Ramírez leaving the show as Che Diaz last February and Karen Pittman (aka Nya Wallace) following suit a month later.
