The Bear Renewed For Season 3 — Finally

FX and Hulu are saying "Yes, chef!" to another course of The Bear, renewing the acclaimed restaurant dramedy for Season 3. The pickup comes nearly five months after Hulu binge-dropped the series' extremely well-received 10-episode second season.

"The Bear, which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in Season 2, has become a cultural phenomenon," said FX president Nick Grad in a statement. "We're so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable, and we and our partners at Hulu join fans in looking forward to the next chapter in the story of The Bear."

The Bear's breakout first season is currently up for 13 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, acting nominations for Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Jon Bernthal and Oliver Platt, along with nominations for writing, directing, casting, production design, picture editing, sound editing and sound mixing. (The Emmy ceremony has been postponed from September until January due to Hollywood's dual strikes.)

Given the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, production on Season 3 of The Bear likely wouldn't commence until sometime in 2024.
