Vice President David S. Pumpkins has a nice ring to it, no?
This weekend’s Saturday Night Live season finale inducted Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson into the Five Timers’ Club — and the host used the occasion to “officially announce” his 2020 presidential bid. As for his choice in running mate? None other than Tom Hanks.
Hanks then joined Johnson and fellow club member Alec Baldwin on stage to graciously accept his offer.
“I can… not possibly turn this down. I’ll do it,” Hanks said enthusiastically. “I’m in! Let’s go!”
Johnson then explained his decision to run for the highest office in the land.
“Now, in the past, I would have never considered running for president,” he began. “I didn’t think I was qualified at all, but now I’m actually worried that I’m too qualified.”
“The truth is [that] America needs us,” Hanks said. “No one can seem to agree on anything anymore, except for two things,” to which Johnson interrupted to clarify that those two things are “pizza and us.”
“I mean, I have been in two movies where the plane crashes, and people are still excited to see me on their flight,” Hanks continued. “Together, we would get one hundred percent of the vote. I would get the senior vote because I fought in World War II… in like, ten different movies.”
“And of course, I would get the minority vote, because everyone just assumes that I’m, well, whatever they are,” Johnson said.

Would be great if Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is running for president in 2020. I can imagine John Cena as his running mate…or not.
President Trump did something right, he inspired other people to pursue their dreams despite the odds. Nobody thought he will win
Lmao no he did not inspire people to do that, good try though.
Are you really giving him credit for being the first person to ever inspire people to go for their dreams? LMAOOOOOOO
I would trust Dwayne Johnson and Tom Hanks with any task. They’d kill it as President and VP. Johnson/Hanks have got my vote!
I’ve read that Dwayne’s a republican, but I’d vote him over the current administration any day. I’d vote for America’s Dad Tom Hanks for anything, but I really just want someone with experience. No more celebs who will be surprised how much work it is once they get in.
could it be any worse than what’s in the white house now? seriously, could it ?
Look, I love these two but like it is with Trump it is with them. They have little to no experience in politics, don’t let inexperienced people run your country but someone who knows how to govern a state and deal with other politicians.
I know that we live in the “we hate politicians” age but look at the current administration, Trump’s clearly not a politician and people are suffering from it
People are suffering from Trump’s narcissism and paranoia, not necessarily the lack of experience. Trump could have surrounded himself with competent people who are experienced in running the government. But he didn’t want to do that because that would mean trusting people he doesn’t know well. That’s half the reason he still hasn’t even nominated people for critical positions. He’s surrounded himself with sycophants, family who also had no experience, and rich people, which he mistakenly thinks is the same as smart and experienced people. He also thinks that he can do no wrong and should be able to rule by fiat, and ultimately can’t or won’t do the work required to understand complex or nuanced issues. I don’t think Johnson or Hanks have similar personalities that would lead them to be so reckless, if this wasn’t a complete and total joke, that is.
Yeah but they have brains unlike trump.
Johnson over Hanks on the ticket? What is the world coming to?!
Ridiculous. lmao
The Democratic party is dead. Good luck on reviving it.
