Reacher Gets Early Season 4 Renewal Ahead Of Amazon Hit's 2025 Return
What a week for Dad TV!
On the heels of Netflix's The Night Agent getting a very early Season 3 pick-up, Prime Video has renewed Reacher for Season 4 — well ahead of the Alan Ritchson-led adaptation's Season 3 premiere now set for sometime in 2025.
There is no word yet on which of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels Season 4 will adapt.
Reacher Season 1, based on Killing Floor, Child's 1997 debut novel/first Jack Reacher tale, saw Ritchson's man mountain arrive in the town of Margrave, Ga., where he found a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years — and for which the new drifter in town got pinned.
Season 2 was based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Child's series of Jack Reacher novels, and followed the titular veteran military police investigator as he reunited with members of his old U.S. Army unit in the wake of the brutal murder of one of their own.
TVLine readers gave Season 1 the rare average grade of "A+," while Season 2 netted an "A."
Season 3 is based on the seventh book in Child's best-selling series, Persuader, in which Reacher goes undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past. Maria Sten will co-star as Frances Neagley for a third straight season (and is set to headline a spinoff). The cast also includes Anthony Michael Hall (Bosch: Legacy) as Zachary Beck, Sonya Cassidy (Lodge 49) as DEA agent Susan Duffy, Brian Tee (Chicago Med) as Quinn, Johnny Berchtold (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Richard Beck, Robert Montesinos (9-1-1: Lone Star) as DEA agent Villanueva, Daniel David Stewart (For All Mankind) as DEA agent Elliot, and Olivier "The Dutch Giant" Richters as Zachary Beck's 7-foot-4, 350-lb. bodyguard Paulie.
Nick Santora (Prison Break) serves as showrunner on Reacher and executive-produces with Ritchson, Child, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell.
