New episodes of FBoy Island are headed your way later this year.
The CW announced Tuesday that Season 3 of the reality dating show hosted by Nikki Glaser will air this fall on the network. Additionally, the spinoff FGirl Island is set for a midseason debut.
“I’m so damn excited that my favorite reality TV show is coming back,” Glaser, who also executive-produces the show, said in a statement. “It’s icing on the cake that I get to host it again. I hope I forget everything that happens while I make the show so that I can relive it all when it airs. I couldn’t be prouder to have my name on such a hilarious, captivating and ridiculous show.”
Both shows will head into back-to-back production this summer.
FBoy Island first debuted on HBO Max in July 2021, and Season 2 streamed in July 2022. The series was then cancelled last December, and CW greenlit a new season in March.
The show follows three women who “move to a tropical paradise where they’re joined by 26 men—13 self-proclaimed ‘Nice Guys’ looking for love, and 13 self-proclaimed ‘FBoys,’ there to compete for cold, hard cash,” according to the official synopsis.
The women navigate the dating pool together in the hopes of finding a true love connection. “By the finale, all will be revealed: who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, who the women ultimately choose, and who walks away with the prize money.”
FGirl Island will swap genders, with three men trying to determine whether 24 women are womanizers, aka “FGirls,” or are seeking a serious relationship, aka “Nice Girls.”
This is what I expected for the shows… FBoy in fall and FGirl midseason. I do wonder if it will be one hour or if they will turn it into a two hour series – ?
This sounds even more asinine than the fake reality shows on 30 Rock. 🙄
Have you heard of MILF Manor? 😂😂😂
Predictably, this is what The CW will become under its new management.
No way this show doesn’t have writers.
I have a feeling this may do well! It’s giving “The Bachelor”/”The Bachelorette” vibes!! And The CW needs a flagship reality series, similar to how “America’s Next Top Model” was for the channel years ago. In a new decade and time, I think “FBoy Island” will bring in some new viewers indeed. I think if CW also grabs a few more high profile series, along with existing CW series, the CW can create an interesting primetime slate.
Doesn’t this show seem young skewing for the older crowd they claim to want to attract?
They said a broader demographic, meaning both young and old. So this is in the ballpark.
I’m going to be a new viewer of FBoy Island since I didn’t see the first 2 seasons looking forward to it come the fall.
Any idea where I can watch seasons 1 and 2? HBO Max removed them when they did a content purge a few months ago.
If CW was smart, they would encore edits of the first two seasons this summer. Until then, it looks like each season is about $15 for digital purchases, but to keep it free, the only place I know is what they call “Fast Channels” which are the free streaming “channels” on apps like Tubi and Roku … specifically the WB TV Keeping It Real channel. But I don’t know how to check the schedules for when they’ll air (The Bachelor was currently airing when I just checked 5/2 3:30pm central), and you can’t record them or fast forward through ads. But I do wonder if CW could/would air them this summer.
I was wondering if they would even consider putting them on CW Seed or the CW site, even to simply promote the new season.
I want my old CW back
The CW… Not the Tiffany of Networks.
I only see All American and Walker continuing next season with CW airing more reality shows and international bought shows
I’m getting excited for FBoy Island haven’t seen the show when it was on HBOMax, I hope that The CW airs the first 2 seasons this summer for those that haven’t seen FBoy Island or those that want to rewatch FBoy Island not surprised that FGirl Island is midseason.
