As much as we’d love to give you a million big teases for A Million Little Things‘ upcoming series finale, you’re going to have to make do with two. But hey, at least they’re good ones!
ABC’s ensemble drama has one more episode — this Wednesday’s — left before its finale, which is set for May 3 at 10/9c. And while the official synopsis for this week’s episode, titled “Tough Stuff,” is tantalizingly vague (“Gary and Maggie make a difficult decision. Katherine and Greta explore options for the future. Eddie and Delilah realize they need to make a change.”), the one for the finale is even more ambiguous.
“A tight-knit circle of friends is reminded that friendship is a million little things,” reads the blurb for the last episode, which is titled “One Big Thing.” (See what we mean?!)
So when TVLine recently spoke with series stars Stephanie Szostak and David Giuntoli, we asked for a finer point on the Friends of Jon’s last hurrah. “I’m going to say this: Aerosmith’s hit 1992 track, ‘Love in an Elevator,'” Giuntoli offered. “And I’m not going to say between who, and I don’t know if it was 1992, but that’s what I’m going to say.” [Editor’s note: Close! 1989.]
“Do we even know if that’s in there?” Szostak said, laughing, wondering if the scene in question made it to the episode’s final cut. She thought for a moment, then added, “I’ll just say: We shall all aim to age gracefully.”
So there you have it, A Million Little Things faithful: potentially public sex and what sounds like a possible flash-forward? Think about the teases for a moment, then hit the comments with your predictions — and hopes! — for the last episode!
I told my boss after last week’s episode that the finale’ would probably have a flash forward.
There was a show called Girlfriends Guide to Divorce a few years back. They did the final episode really well. Tied up the storylines and did a flash forward a few years later. It was one of the best endings to a series I’ve seen. Hoping this one ends well too. I will miss the show.
I really hope you bring back for another season
I am not interested in any scene Stephanie Sestak is in. Love David Giuntole just not with her.
Amen!! There was no need to.bring her back.
Exactly. I would like to have seen Eddie with the woman who hit him. Also, I really hope Gary doesn’t die. That will make me cry.
I would agree! I thought Eddie would end up with the wiman who hit him. I adore kids!!Taught half my life. The ?? Super cast. I loved gary’s aunt.
I am happy they brought her back. It’s only right and it’s what Jon wanted.
I agree. Glad she is back. They didnt blow up a family for nothing this way. Really like this show. Gonna miss it.
It’s NOT that Stephanie was off the show. She lives in Connecticut and they filmed in Canada. If you remember, she was off the show during Covid, so she wasn’t able to fly back and forth to be on the show. I AM GLAD SHE WAS ON THIS LAST SEASON. WISH SHE COULD’VE BEEN IN MORE.
Oh pullease!🤢
I hope it ends well, it’s been so fast this season with so many things being tied up perfectly w a bow, too fast to be realistic. They can’t possibly resolve all the storylines, and I do think a brief fast forward would be good too. Hoping for the best….
The show started so good, I could hardly wait for another episode, but it has declined so much that I’m so far behind. I don’t even know if I’m going to finish it.
I really hate the show is ending. But I hope Gary does not die, he and Maggie have been through a lot. Also I would like to see Eddie walk again. Gary and Eddie are my favorite. I want to see them have a happy ending.
I agree.
Another season!!! Please!!!
I ❤️ this show and hate that it’s ending. I would like to see the show continue and see Gary cured and Eddie walk again. I’m not sure I’m glad Dee is back but she was a big part in the beginning so well worth her being bought back. Please think about more episodes and seasons.
I really wasn’t ready for A Million Things to end. Nowadays as soon as you grow to love a show they cancel it. The characters were so talented and had so much more to share with the fans. It’s so sad to send it end 😞
I can’t believe they would end this wonderful series so tragically with Gary’s death. What would be the point of having us all sobbing at the end of a series?! I’m hoping for a miracle…
I love this show!!! I’ve watched every single episode, I feel like they are my family❤️ I am a breast cancer survivor Gary and Maggie are my favorite characters for so many reasons! I love them together!! I hate that his cancer came back I really need for them to have the Happy Ever After ending! I’m so sad this show is ending.
GARY NEEDS A MIRACLE❤️❤️❤️LUNG TRANSPLANT❤️❤️❤️EDDIE NEEDS TO WALK❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just hope Gary doesn’t die on the last episode that would me make me super sad. I’m going to miss this show
Dee and Eddie marry by Rome. Gary video tapes it. Eddie asked to be sperm donor too. Theo excited to have little sibling again.
I hope everything in your comment comes true. I’ve wanted Dee and Eddie to be together from the beginning.
I love this show. It’s been one of my favorites for years. I HATE that it’s ending. It’s bad enough that the show is dying, don’t let Gary die too. PLEASE let Gary and Maggie have a happy ending. They have been through so much.
I feel like it would be an affront to the loyal viewers to kill off Gary after all these years, especially for the sake of an ending. There is literally no reason to end it any way but positive. Agree with the earlier poster who said that they have moved way too fast through this season. Don’t need another but the Sophie/Tyrell ship was so fast that it wasn’t believable. That could have been built up for 2 years. Why bother? Love them both though.
I love this show. I hate that it is ending
I cried all through the next to last episode. I hope Gary doesn’t die. It would just be so sad! Isn’t there enough tragedy in the world? Let us hope it’s a happy ending! We need another season!
Totally agree! Some of the best actors on tv today!
Me too. Bawled like a big ole baby. It was a really well done episode.
I was disappointed that they now have Gary on the chopping block to pass away. Not sure why they felt the need to move in this direction. I sure hope all loose ends are tied up though so the fans are satisfied with the endings.
I love this show. So sad it will be over. Like many others I hope Gary doesn’t die. He was my favorite. I have watched every episode and love all of the characters.
Ditto to all comments about not wanting the show to end. I have fallen in love with the show. Wholeheartedly agree and hope that Gary doesn’t die. I like the Eddie sperm donor angle! I will be glued to the finale.
This is my absolute favorite show and I wish it wasn’t ending. I look forward to watching it every week. Gary holds the glue in this show and I do not want to see him die. It should end on a positive note and return for another season.
There is so much sadness in the real world. I don’t know why the writers can’t end this show with some hope. We all need that.
The characters always seem to get through…I hope Gary gets through. I will record the last episode…If it ends with a funeral, I don’t think I will watch it. I will read about it, but the visual and the sadness is not what I need in my world. Does anyone need that? We need hope!
We all want the happy ending! My husband and I cried our eyes out this episode. I’m a stage 4 breast cancer survivor and this is my worst fear. For me this was personal. However, I get it. This is life! Affairs happen, people die. The point of the show was about friendship and real life. Life is short. Enjoy it. Love your friends and family with everything you have. That’s the message
OMG..I cried my eyes out last night watching the show. I love this show! So sad it is ending. The actors are fabulous. Like everyone else I hope Gary doesn’t die. He is really the main character in this show. Gary and Maggie are so solid. Love them! I really wish it wasn’t ending but it was so great to watch while we had it.
So sorry to see this show go. We need to have family dramas on network television. There is enough police and spy shows. Last nights show was amazing.
I hate that AMLT’s is ending. It’s one of the finest shows on TV.
There are so many way the finale could go I Don even want to speculate. But, I know last night’s episode had me bawling like a family member was dying.
I miss miss this show greatly.
I’m disappointed the show is ending. Many of the great shows are ending sooner than they should. Even if some actors want to move on, the writers can come up with a good angle. How about a spin-off?
