Tony Awards 2023: Watch Every Performance — Kimberly Akimbo, Parade, Shucked And More
An emaciated cow, a cold-blooded killer and a cult of corn enthusiasts shared the stage on Sunday as CBS brought the best of Broadway to America's living rooms via the 2023 Tony Awards.
The 76th annual salute to musical theater gave audiences a taste of more than 10 new and classic shows, many of which won big during this year's ceremony. (Click here for a full list of winners.)
All told, the following musicals were represented on stage: A Beautiful Noise, Camelot; Funny Girl; Into The Woods; Kimberly Akimbo; New York, New York; Parade; Shucked; Some Like It Hot and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street; and & Juliet.
And those big numbers came with some big names to match. Some of the stars who performed on Sunday included Alex Newell (Shucked), Lea Michele (Funny Girl), and Josh Groban and Gaten Matarazzo (Sweeney Todd).
This year's In Memoriam segment also included a special performance from Joaquina Kalukango, the 2022's winner for Lead Actress in a Musical. She took to the stage for a beautiful rendition of "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, which ended its 35-year run on Broadway earlier this year.
