And if you think you can predict the exact plan they come up with for Rebecca’s caretaking in the wake of Miguel’s passing, you would be wrong. In this Wednesday’s episode, Chief Hawkins and girlfriend Violet “have a hot scene in the sushi restaurant,” co-showrunner Derek Haas teases. Meanwhile, “Gallo has been sidelined a bit in the friend role, and that’s going to get a little shaken up in the last couple of episodes,” co-showrunner Andrea Newman previews, “because he’s really going to step up for Violet in unexpected ways and that’ll kind of bring him back into this triangle and make the triangle even more complicated than it already was.” Violet and Hawkins should also keep an eye on paramedic Emma, who’s “going to cause plenty of trouble and upheaval,” Newman warns.Any Rollisi tidbits you can share for these last episodes of SVU? — Anna

I can tell you that Season 6’s first half ends on a pretty significant cliffhanger. (The spring finale airs May 23; Saul returns for its final six episodes on July 11.) The writers didn’t know that the final season would be split in two when they were penning the scripts, executive producer Peter Gould admits to TVLine, but he thinks every episode ends on a cliffhanger of sorts — and “this is a big one. I think this is going to be a painful few weeks for a few people to find out what happens. Hopefully, people will enjoy the pain and not come after us with torches.”Anything else to tease about The Flash‘s season finale? –Meg
Only that after back-to-back, COVID-hampered finales, Season 8 will end with a much bigger bang. “I was not around for every bit of it, but as I was reading the script for the finale I was shaking my head wondering how on Earth they were going to pull it off,” Danielle Panabaker, now on maternity leave, shared with me. “It was the first opportunity to have a big finale in a couple of years, because Season 6 ended short and Season 7 we were still dealing with COVID restrictions. It’s huge, with a lot of returning faces…. As the saying goes, ‘Go big or go home,’ and they went big for this one.”On 9-1-1, how concerned should I be about Bobby after the roof of the call center fell on him? –Lizzie

Well, showrunner Chris Mundy insists that Wendy’s decision to — spoiler alert! — check herself into a psychiatric hospital in the Netflix drama’s penultimate episode was about more than subterfuge. “It was both a manipulation of her children and, also, completely real,” the EP maintains, adding, “We played with her sanity through the whole [series].” Mundy, meanwhile, believes Wendy would have honored the ultimatum she gave her kids (via Marty), even if that meant spending the rest of her life in a mental facility. Muses Mundy: “I don’t think she would’ve left if [Jonah and Charlotte] hadn’t visited.”Will we get to see any romance between FBI‘s Scola and Nina? –Tammy
Awkward past hook-up/ghosting or not, “They’re good friends right now, so we’ll see where that goes,” showrunner Rick Eid told me. “Shantel [VanSanten] is with us for the rest of the season, but we’re not sure about next exactly. We’ve got to figure all that out.” -

We did ask Ryan Eggold if we’ll ever meet his character’s mom and dad. “That’s a question for [showrunner] David Schulner, but I do think so,” he said, adding that he discussed with Schulner and EP/writer Shaun Cassidy “what that might look like and what were the events that impacted Max to make him the way he is, because it’s pretty rare to see someone who’s so sort of altruistic. He’s often putting other people before himself and trying to help others. So we were figuring out what in his youth and in his parents sort of brought him to that place. Short answer is yes. I hope next season we will meet his parents and learn some more about where he grew up and how he grew up and what his relationship was like with his dad and his mom, and how his sister’s death factored into him being the man that he is today.”Fear the Walking Dead Spoilers? — Brian
