How is Superman & Lois‘ love life? Who will be left standing when The Blacklist ends? How much time has passed on The Mandalorian? Read on for answers to those questions plus scoop on many other shows. (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)
We know that first season of The Mandalorian was set in 9 ABY (five years after Return of the Jedi). Is it the same with other seasons, and shows set in same period, or have we moved to another year? –Michal
I ran your question by EPs Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni on Monday, Michal, and the latter said that while he didn’t have his “specific notes” in front of him, “I don’t think we’re quite to 10 ABY.” But then… but then there were reports out of some other junket where Favreau said that Seasons 1 and 2 of Mando spanned “many years,” and that Grogu studied under Luke for “two years.” (I promptly pulled a Charlie Cale in this Twitter thread.) It looks like Favreau walked back those quotes a bit the other night (saying Grogu was with Luke for “zero to two years”). If it sheds any extra light, Favreau told me on Monday, “We talk about this so much,” especially since “we also have Ahsoka and The Skeleton Crew [coming up], which are taking place in the same time period…. But yes, we’re still in ‘the first third of the second gap'” in the nine-movie Skywalker Saga.
Will any obscure Batman villains be appearing on The CW’s Gotham Knights, or will it be more mainstream villains? And is there an Alfred Pennyworth in the show? –Ivan
Our guy covering the show says that so far, at least in the first six episodes, the primary villains are from the New 52 continuity (which ran from 2011-’16). And while Cressida Clarke (played by God Friended Me‘s KK Moggie) is the Wayne family butler, she does not fill the same role that Alfred famously did.

Image Credit: Courtesy of The CW Do you have any scoop on whether we’ll see more Lois and Clark romantic scenes in Superman & Lois Season 3 (premiering Tuesday, March 14)? –Mary
Let’s just say that the first scene leading out of a recappy, season-opening montage makes clear that the twosome just had some downright super sex. Oh, and at another point they super-speed away for a nooner. What can you tell us about the new family fortress and its role in Season 3 of Superman & Lois? –Shiran
I can tell you that Kal-El’s mom very much approves of the new digs, and that this Fortress has a feature that will absolutely delight eagle-eyed DC comics superfans.Any news about Jordan’s storyline in Superman & Lois Season 3? –Mark
Oh, that Jordan. He gets a (literal) crash course on the nuances of flying early on in the season premiere. He also may want to bone up on physics before trying to fix a falling construction crane with his heat vision. And it’s also going to take him a minute to accept what he and Sarah are/aren’t anymore. -

We had a pretty emotionally charged moment in 5×14 when he was trying to rescue her and when she was found. Can we expect any further developments with them? The fans love their dynamic! -Berachah
I got your Q to showrunner Rick Eid, who wrote back, “We always like to keep the team fluid and find ways to shake up the partnerships. Tiff and OA have a great working dynamic, so we’ll probably see them paired up again in the future.”Will Peacock once again stream the Eurovision Song Contest in America? –Mike
Yep!I have a question regarding CBS’ Tough as Nails: In March 2022, the series was renewed with CBS saying that it was for Season 5. But when the series was renewed this February, yet again they said it was renewed for Season 5. What’s up with this? –Kevin
Looks like someone was trigger-happy with the Tweet button a year ago, because the latest renewal is confirmed to be for Season 5. -

Showrunner John Eisendrath let out a hearty laugh when I read your question to him, before saying, “Season 10, should we change things that worked so well so far…? Oh, poor Ressler.” He then offered this choice tidbit: “What I would say about Ressler is he was on Red’s tail eight years before the pilot started, and he will be the last man standing when it comes time to determine Red’s fate at the end of this season.”Just wondering if you have any info on when Tacoma F.D. is returning? –Jim

Why, because Reese Witherspoon is seemingly attached to a half-dozen projects? Billy Crudup, who plays Cory to her Bradley, doesn’t seem ready for his other Apple TV+ series to end just yet. “I hope not,” he said during our recent Hello Tomorrow! chat. “It’s been such a phenomenal opportunity for me, I love the creative team on that, and that character has just been an absolute joy to play. So, fingers crossed it keeps going.” -
