Only that if Jason Antoon has his say, Season 3 will shed some light on keyboard whiz Ernie’s (morally murky?) origin story. “I mean, look, I don’t know how much they’re going to delve into it,” he told me, “but I have said to them, ‘Was he a criminal?’ Because a lot of times it’s bad, hacker criminals of cybercrimes who get hired for these departments. They didn’t want to do that, even though I kept trying to pitch the idea of guys from his past who worked for the NSA and have gone rogue, so it will be interesting to see if that ever comes to fruition.”

Now that LL Cool J has joined NCIS: Hawai’i, might we hope for other NCIS: LA characters to appear in other places? –Helen
I can’t speak for all other OSP agents, but — knowing as I did that LL’s surprise appearance on Hawai’i was imminent — I made a point to ask Daniela Ruah if she would ever reprise her role as Kensi, if needed. “If I get asked, I will certainly figure it out at the time,” she answered. “If it makes sense, why not, right?”

Do you have any update on if the writers strike has stopped Sony’s plans to make a Spiderverse TV franchise on Amazon and MGM+ starting with Silk: Spider Society? — Matt
Worry not, I am told that Silk: Spider Society will continue to move forward once the AMPTP and WGA have reached a deal.

Do you have any scoop on Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias, preferably anything about Annie and Tyler? –Cassie
What can we even tease about Annie and Ty without risking Miss Frances cursing us from beyond the grave? You’ll be happy to know that Dana Sue and Maddie’s kids will be spending plenty of time together in Season 3 — but don’t get too excited, as he’ll mostly be a sounding board (and occasional chaperone) for her relationship with Jackson. Let’s just say that the Townsend kids are in for some heartache this season.

Any news on the Dead Boy Detectives show? –Joey
I asked around and there are no updates on the DC series, which wrapped filming in April after reportedly being sold to Netflix when it no longer “fit” among Max’s New DCU-aligned slate.

Based on Riverdale behind-the-scenes [photos] they are sadly still filming in the ’50s. It’s a little disappointing we won’t get to see any of the “real” Riverdale in the final season. Any scoop on whether this season is going to eventually tie back to previous one? Will any characters get their memories back before the finale? Or ever? –Anon
Indeed, Mädchen Amick confirmed last week, “No, we don’t get out of the 1950s,” which she ventured was “maybe” a “big spoiler.” That said, she did hint that you’ll “experience the characters in different… dimensions” that will allow for “a lot of closures that are outside of the 1950s.”

Any scoop on the upcoming fourth season of Breeders? –Matt
A now-18-year-old Luke drops a bombshell on the Worsleys, but the big reveal (which can be seen in this just-released trailer) will cause a negative ripple effect throughout the entire family. And that won’t be the only shocker in the show’s final season. Ava catches feelings for a surprising new love interest, while Paul and Ally’s relationship will be on the brink of collapsing. (The big question heading into the final season: Will they actually split up for good?)

Despite you stating that all potential shows approved under Mark Pedowitz had been cancelled at The CW, Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski stated on Twitter that his project is not cancelled at The CW. Can you confirm? –Siddharth
Technically, yes, Straczynski is correct — his Babylon 5 reboot is one project that was still in limbo at The CW and is now, like many things in the biz, “on hold” amid the WGA strike.

Dark Winds was one of my favorite new summer shows, and I’m so happy that it was renewed. Any scoop about what we can expect to see in Season 2? –Callie
You can expect to see Jim Chee in a leisure suit that is so very ’70s, it will not go without (much) mention by a highly amused Leaphorn. (If only the “space age” fabric it’s made out of were bulletproof!) You can also count on a bit of domestic tension when Emma insists on having a ceremony to “balance” her and Joe’s seemingly high-drama household. (I’ll have a full Zahn McClarnon preview ahead of Season 2’s late-July premiere.)

Is All Rise unofficially cancelled? Will we ever see the rest of Season 3? –Evan

Alas, no. Leonie Elliott, who played Lucille Anderson on the BBC series, confirmed earlier this year that she has left the period drama and was embarking “on pastures new.”

I have been loving Hijack so far. Is there any chance for a second season/crisis? —Steven
Star and EP Idris Elba admits that the possibilities are “limited,” since his Sam Nelson “isn’t a cop, he isn’t ex-military or a spy or anything like that. This is just an ordinary guy heading home, and he gets into this incredible situation. And the likelihood of lightning striking at the same spot is rare.” That said, he allows that “there are ways that we can bring Sam back; I just don’t know what they are yet. But if the audience wants it, then we’ll make it happen.” 

Since The CW/Nexstar passed on the female-led Zorro pilot, what does that mean for Wilmer Valderrama‘s Zorro series? Because news broke that he was developing a modern-day Zorro around the same that we learned about development of the one at the CW… —Maria
Aside from sharing a titular hero, the two projects were attached in no other way. Valderrama‘s project for Disney Branded Television named a showrunner back in March and is still very much moving forward, I hear.

Is there any word if there will be a Season 2 of Wolf Pack, or a second Teen Wolf movie? –Conall
There are no updates on the former, while Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis is on record as being bearish on the latter, telling TVLine, “Whether there are more stories in my head to tell remains to be seen.”
