Golden Globes 2022: Succession And Hacks Lead TV Winners, Pose's Michaela Jaé Rodriguez Makes History

The winners of the 79th annual Golden Globe Awards were revealed Sunday night during a non-televised ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

HBO's Succession led the TV pack with three total wins, including for best drama. HBO Max's Hacks was the night's only other multiple winner, grabbing gold for both best comedy and lead actress Jean Smart.

By outlet, HBO led with four total wins, followed by HBO Max's two. Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and FX each netted one win.

Global sensation Squid Game was among the night's first-time winners, while Pose's Michaela Jaé Rodriguez made history as the first trans actress to be named Best Actress in a Drama Series.

NBC announced back in May 2021 that it would not broadcast the Globes, after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association was besieged by scandal for its lack of representation behind the scenes. At the time, of the organization's 87 members, not one was Black. In October 2021, the HFPA added 21 new members — six who identify as Black, five who identify as Asian, six who identify as Latinx, and four who identify as Middle Eastern/North African.

Heading into Sunday's event, HBO's Succession led the pack with five nominations, followed by Apple TV+'s The Morning Show and Ted Lasso, which each scored four. Following with three nominations were Hulu's Dopesick, The Great and Only Murders in the Building; HBO Max's Hacks; FX's Pose; and Netflix's Maid and Squid Game.

So, how did those nominations pan out? Read on for a complete list of this year's TV nominees, with winners marked in bold. We also threw in tonight's big-screen winners at the bottom for all you film buffs out there.
