Nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Wednesday, and HBO's Succession leads the pack with 27 total nominations, including for best drama and for 14 members of its ensemble.

HBO's own The Last Of Us and The White Lotus follow close behind with 24 and 23 total nods, while Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso boasts 21 contenders.

The broadcast shows netting the most nominations were NBC's Saturday Night Live (with nine), ABC's Abbott Elementary (eight) and CBS' The Amazing Race (three).

This year's Emmys are currently penciled in to air live Monday, Sept. 18 on Fox, though the lack of resolution in the Writers Guild strike (...with no imminent end in sight) and a looming possible SAG-AFTRA strike could dictate a meaningful to major postponement. (As reported by Variety, the Television Academy would prefer to push the ceremony no later than November if need be, while host network Fox is more keen on a January 2024 rescheduling.)

A week prior to the big show's tentative date, the 2023 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place over two consecutive nights, on Saturday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 10.
