Fuller House Season 5: Easter Eggs, References And More

Fuller House's entire five-season run was peppered with callbacks to Full House, but the Netflix comedy went above and beyond for its just-released batch of final episodes. (For a look back at references from the first half of Season 5, click here.)

The second half of its fifth and final season was loaded with nostalgia, from old Tanner family memorabilia (D.J.'s lips phone!) to familiar guest stars (so many exes!), no stone was left unturned. Or unreferenced.

Scroll down for an explanation of the final nine episodes' biggest callbacks, some more obvious than others:

WHERE TO BEGIN?

Look at this trove, treasures untold. How much Tanner family memorabilia can one attic hold? We found out in Episode 17 when the ladies of the She-Wolf Pack went hunting for something old, new, borrowed and blue for their triple wedding. Hidden gems include (but are not limited to) Mr. Bear, Jesse's Flintstones costume, Michelle's portrait of Comet, Michelle's Rigby the Rhino stuffed animal, a pink bunny from Jesse's old bedroom and Michelle's bike.

'DO CALL HIS NAME

Good news for everybody wondering about the status of Jesse's old barber Alejandro: He's alive! This news takes Danny by surprise in the series finale, to which Jesse replies that the mere opportunity to work on his iconic locks is what keeps Alejandro alive. Honestly, that sounds like a lot of pressure to put on one man's hair.

EX GAMES (PT. 1)

Danny and Vicky breaking off their engagement remains a sore spot for Full House fans, so it was nice to see that the two have remained friends. She was one (of several) exes to pop up at the She-Wolf Pack's backyard wedding in the series finale.

EX GAMES (PT. 3)

And then there was D.J.'s rocker ex-boyfriend Viper, who just kind of stood back and watched as D.J. and Steve enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. Nothing awkward about this at all.

EX GAMES (PT. 2)

The wedding even gave us one last "Whatever!" from Duane, who almost became Kimmy's husband in Full House's Season 8 episode "Taking the Plunge."

WHAT THE PLUCK?

I don't mean to be a grouch, but how the heck did a feather from Kimmy's pet ostrich Oscar — seen only once in Full House's Season 8 episode "All Stood Up" — wind up in the Tanners' attic?

fuller-house-easter-eggs-pierced-ear

JEWELRY FOOLERY

Stephanie was less excited when D.J. found the earrings Kimmy used to pierce her ear in Full House's Season 6 episode "I'm Not D.J." Why the heck did they keep those things?

LIP SERVICE

D.J.'s reaction to Stephanie discovering her old lips phone was perfect: "Oh my landline!"

DEREK'S ENCORE

Michelle may not have returned for her sisters' wedding, but her old pal Derek did! He even gave Danny and Joey a taste of "The Yankee Doodle Boy" from Full House's Season 6 episode "The Play's the Thing."

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?

Both Tanner sisters were so excited about Stephanie finding her old Honeybee uniform, they shared in a celebratory buzz for old time's sake.

MR. WORLDWIDE

When Jesse mentioned in Episode 12 that he's "still hot in Japan," he wasn't just blowing smoke. Behold this image of John Stamos in a fine silk robe from Full House's Season 6 episode "Road to Tokyo."

DANCING QUEEN (AND KING)

Speaking of that telethon, Episode 16 found Jimmy reenacting Stephanie's equally iconic dance number. He even managed to recreate her exact look. In his size. At a moment's notice. (Honestly, it's best if you just don't ask questions about this show.)

GAME ON (AGAIN)

Fuller House's three engaged couples were tested in Episode 14 when they competed in The Nearlywed Game, a callback to the time Joey hosted a romantic game show pilot on Full House's Season 7 episode "The Perfect Couple."

SWEET MEMORIES

D.J. couldn't hide her excitement at the discovery of the prop from her iconic performance of "Lollipop" from Full House's Season 3 episode "Our Very First Telethon."

REPEAT FENDER, cont'd.

Fuller House even had Tommy recreate Michelle's "There's a car in the kitchen!" line — though I'll be honest, it lacked that classic Olsen Twin gravitas.

REPEAT FENDER

It was obvious from the moment Joey parked his car in the backyard in Episode 12 that Stephanie was going to drive that thing straight into the house, a callback to Full House's Season 3 episode "Honey, I Broke the House." And she did not disappoint.

DON'T POKE THE BARE WALL

"Danny doesn't like when you poke around in his room," Joey reminded D.J. in Episode 10, referring to the time D.J. and Stephanie accidentally poked a giant hole in their dad's bedroom wall in Full House's Season 4 episode "The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang."

fuller-house-easter-eggs-gia

NIGHTMARE ON GERRARD STREET

"I don't want to go to school, Dad, Gia's going to make me smoke!" Stephanie shouted upon waking from an apparent nightmare in Episode 13. If her therapist is reading this, you can pin point that specific trauma to Full House's Season 7 episode "Fast Friends."

ROCKY AND WHO?

Do you really think any of D.J.'s kids know who their Great Uncle Joey is imitating when he puts his hands on his head like this, or has Bullwinkle completely faded into obscurity since the days of Full House?
