Apocalypse’s first official crossover came at the end of Episode 3, when a trio of Coven witches — Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), Madison (Emma Roberts) and Myrtle (Frances Conroy) — arrived at Outpost 3 to awaken their “sisters.”
A pre-nuclear flashback in Episode 4 returned viewers to Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, the setting of Coven, where Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) had risen to the level of instructor.
In Episode 4, Cordelia recalled attempting to rescue Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) from the Hotel Cortez, though she was unable to overcome the building’s inherent darkness. “The hotel wasn’t merely haunted,” she said, “but an entryway to all things dark and Satanic.”
Michael (Cody Fern), however, had no trouble freeing Queenie from the Hotel Cortez, much to the disappointment of James March (Evan Peters).
When Michael took the Seven Wonders test in Episode 5, he did so under a blood moon, a natural phenomenon that played a significant role throughout Horror Story’s sixth season.
At the end of Episode 5, Cordelia instructed Madison to investigate the Los Angeles mansion “where it all began.”
MURDER HOUSE, cont’d.
As revealed by series creator Ryan Murphy, our return to the Murder House in Episode 6 will reunite us with Constance (Jessica Lange), Ben (Dylan McDermott), Vivien (Connie Britton), Violet and Tate — among several potential others.
