It’s now patently clear that NCIS: Los Angeles‘ gruff Admirable Kilbride will sort out some things from his past before the CBS drama wraps its 14-season run on May 14.[pmc_inline_gallery]
Previously, TVLine told you that Marilu Henner will guest-star in the Sunday, Feb. 26 episode of the high-octane drama as Elizabeth, ex-wife of Gerald McRaney’s Kilbride. In said episode, Elizabeth visits her onetime husband to ask him to think about reconnecting with their son, from whom Hollace is known to be estranged.
Well, apparently Hollace will cotton to the idea, seeing as Christoper Gorham is set to play said son, Alex, and be a part of “a rocky reunion,” TV Insider reports.
Henner will not appear in Gorham’s episode, which is slated to air in the spring.
Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill previously told TVLine that disclosing whatever happened between Kilbride and his son that led to their years-long estrangement is “a story we would like to explore” in Season 14.
Gorham’s many previous TV credits include Popular, Felicity, Harper’s Island 🤐, Ugly Betty, Covert Affairs (Auggie!), Insatiable (where his character had the exact same name as one of my best college buddies, weird) and, most recently, Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.
NCIS: Los Angeles airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS.

Nooooooooooo! 😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦
Too little too late. Not enough time left in the series for new storyline plots like this imo. Should focus on closing up the other characters
Who cares? I love the actor but I hate Kilbride character he is annoying and didn’t add anything to the show in the past two seasons.he was only there to see him shouting on the team and having stupid comments about today culture and LA . The time that the show got should be focussed on the team Callen Sam Deeks and kensi.
Oh i agree. I wouldn’t be sad if they killed off kilbride. And focus on the main 4 should be top priority and hopefully a wedding.
Agree 100%. Gemmill has been a terrible showrunner, bringing in new characters instead of focusing on the OG4. No surprise the show was cancelled.
I love Kilbride. Even though he can be tough as nails, they’ve allowed him to show his soft side. I’m glad they’re giving the character more exposure.
So am I. He and Fatima have a great and sometimes very funny/adorable relationship and I find that Gerald McRaney elevates any show he’s in.
Me too.
With the merger of Paramount Plus with Showtime, what are the plans for classic programs such as Mattlock, Hawaii Five O and others?
Just saw him in Leverage: Redemption and barely recognised him from his Covert Affairs days.
Why are these networks taking off all the good shows and leaving on the crap shows??! NCIS- Los Angeles is a good show and I enjoy all of the NCIS shows!
LA has been bad in ratings for a while. The networks go by what the viewers in their key markets and demographics want.
I’m sorry this is the last season. With Hetty not coming back, the two techies having left, the lack of screen time for Sam and Callen, the gratuitous arc involving Deeks, Kensi and Rosa, and the mistake of moving the series to Sunday after sports games, it isn’t surprising that the show has lost viewers.
Of course! (Facepalm) With just 9 episodes remaining and not a lot of time to try and wrap everything up on this iconic NCIS Spin Off before it disappears from our screens for good, now is the perfect time to develop Kilbrides storyline, and introduce 2 new characters that the majority of fans couldn’t care less about. If the Show Runner could just put his Gerald McRaney obsession aside for five minutes and work on giving full and proper closure to the longer serving and far more important characters of NCIS LA. Like you know ….the original OSP Agents who the show was actually created around! As they are the ones who should be getting these precious last hours of screen time, in appreciation and recognition for the years of enjoyment they’ve given fans over the past 14 years.
