Did We Just Meet Outlander: Blood Of My Blood's Newest Couple? Show Bosses Give Us The Scoop On Murtagh And Grace

This season of "Outlander: Blood of My Blood," the Starz drama's Powers That Be are granting Murtagh FItzgibbons Fraser (played by Rory Alexander) a little grace.
After all, the guy could use it. Brian's cousin/best friend spent most of Season 1 pining for Ellen, the woman who fell for Brian — and vice-versa — and then he was forced into a front-row seat to their starry-eyed canoodling. He had a brief, drunken dalliance with Ellen's sister, Jocasta, but that ended with tears and hurt feelings all around.
Now that the time-travel series is in Season 2, Murtagh's heart is mostly healed, executive producer Maril Davis tells TVLine in the video above. Which is fortuitous, because the season's second episode introduces someone who catches his eye: Grace (played by Ruby Fubara, "Breeders"), Jocasta Cameron's new maid.
"He'll always love Ellen. He'll always have a love for her and look out for her, as we see down the line in 'Outlander,'" Davis says. "But his heart has mended enough to move on."
Grace is 'much stronger than she first appears'
"Outlander: Blood of My Blood" Episode 2 doesn't tell us much about Grace aside from the fact that she's from London and she's an indentured servant who's recently arrived at Castle Leoch. So we asked series showrunner Matthew B. Davis to fill us in.
"What's great about Grace is that she's much stronger than she first appears," he teases in the video above. "She might, at first blush, look very demure... but over the course of the season, she really blossoms, and you'll really see the strength come out in her."
