Seth Meyers: 'Trump Is His Own Deep Throat,' So Stop Questioning the Sex Assault Allegations Against Him

Seth Meyers on Thursday reprimanded conservative media pundits for doubting the onslaught of sexual assault allegations made against Donald Trump.

The Late Night host took a “Closer Look” at the “bombshells [that] could very well bury Trump for good,” taking direct aim at those who were so quick to deem the accusations untrue.

“There’s very good reason to believe he did what he’s accused of,” Meyers argued. “Why? Because an irrefutable, inside source told us so: Donald Trump.” He then replayed an excerpt from the Access Hollywood bus tape where the Republican candidate for president declared he could “do anything” to women and they’d just “let you do it,” such as “grab them by the p—y.”

“Donald Trump is his own Deep Throat,” Meyers declared, comparing the presidential nominee to the secret informant who helped the Washington Post expose Richard Nixon’s role in the Watergate scandal. “He’s Creep Throat!” Meyers followed up on that jab with a series of clips featuring news anchors, political commentators and Trump himself calling into question the timing of the allegations, many of which have come less than a month before Election Day.

“When people ask why women wait to report sexual assault, that’s why,” Meyers argued. “Because instead of believing them, you question their motives. Stop pretending there’s an optimal time to go public with these kinds of allegations. It’s not like if you do it within the first 24 hours, you get a parade and an iTunes gift card.”
