The actor will lead Spike TV’s event series Tut as the titular Egyptian king, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The project — airing in 2015 — counts several other ABC Family names among its credits: Greg Gugliotta (The Fosters) will executive-produce alongside writers Michael Vickerman, Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (The Fosters).

* Eddie McClintock (Warehouse 13) is reuniting with Bones creator Hart Hanson on his midseason Fox drama Backstrom. Per Variety, the actor — who played Brennan’s beau Tim Sullivan on Bones — will appear in at least one episode as Lt. Sam D’Agostino, a neighborhood bully who grew up with Rainn Wilson’s title character.

* E! has renewed the plastic surgery rehab series Botched for a second season.

* Royal Pains has tapped Sonia Braga (Sex and the City, Alias) to play Divya’s ex mother-in-law/grandmother to her baby Sashi, The Wrap reports.
