Hacks Lands Season 4 Premiere Date At Max — Plus, See Deborah And Ava Clash In A New Trailer
Deborah and Ava are seeing their showbiz dreams come true in the new season of Hacks — but their relationship is still kind of a nightmare.
Season 4 of the Emmy-winning comedy will premiere Thursday, Apr. 10 at 9/8c on Max, TVLine has learned, with the first two episodes. (Episodes will debut each Thursday after that, with two episodes on May 15, leading up to the May 29 season finale.)
Max has also released a trailer for the new season, which you can watch below, picking up in the immediate aftermath of the stunning Season 3 finale, where Ava blackmailed Deborah into making her the showrunner of her new late-night show. "Blackmail on day one?" Jimmy asks Ava. "Not good!" He adds that Deborah has "been doing this for 50 years. You're not going to beat her at her own game. Nobody beats Deborah."
But it looks like Ava's going to try, at least, giving Deborah a cold stare while walking backstage and challenging her to a few laps around a NASCAR racetrack. (When Deborah and Ava try to build trust by attempting a trust fall, Ava falls backwards... and Deborah lets her crash to the ground.) Plus, Deborah plays DJ at a nightclub and gets a lapdance — and when she gets pulled over by the cops, Ava grabs her phone to record it live on Instagram... to an audience of six witnesses! Well, make that five.
In Season 4, which consists of 10 episodes, "tensions rise as Deborah and Ava endeavor to get their late night show off the ground and make history doing it," according to the official logline.
