Ahsoka Rises On Latest Nielsen Streaming Top 10, Sex Education Returns To Chart
Netflix's Virgin River held steady at No. 1 on Nielsen's latest U.S. ranking of streaming originals, by amassing 1.24 billion minutes viewed across 52 total episodes during the week of Sept. 18.
With the release of the first half of its farewell run, Netflix's Sex Education placed a distant second, with 634 million minutes viewed across 32 episodes. It was followed by Disney+'s yet-to-be-renewed Ahsoka (rising one spot with 570 million minutes/six available episodes), Netflix's Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal (563 million minutes/six episodes) and Prime Video's The Wheel of Time (531 million minutes/14 available episodes).
Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of Sept. 18 were Hulu's Only Murders in the Building (489 million minutes viewed/28 available episodes), Netflix's One Piece (479 million minutes/eight episodes), Netflix's' Dear Child (dropping six spots with 431 million minutes/six episodes), Netflix's Love Is Blind (423 million minutes/63 available episodes) and Apple TV+'s The Morning Show (down two spots with 422 million minutes/23 available episodes).
And yes, Suits improved its Nielsen streaming record (to 13 total, non-consecutive weeks) by reclaiming the No. 1 spot on the overall chart, with 1.8 billion minutes viewed across Netflix and Peacock.
