Night Court Sneak Peek: Dan Reunites With Roz In The Holding Cell (Exclusive)
It's the holidays, which means it's time to catch up with old friends — and what better place to do that than a New Orleans holding cell?
TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at Night Court's Season 2 premiere, airing Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 8/7c on NBC, with Marsha Warfield reprising her role as Roz from the original '80s series. We first saw Roz at the very end of the Season 1 finale, appearing as a defendant in the New Orleans courtroom where Dan is now serving as a judge. In the sneak peek — which you can watch above — Dan visits his old pal in the holding cell, and we learn she was arrested for throwing a bouncer through a window during a rowdy bachelorette party. She's even still holding the guy's ponytail!
As they chat, Roz reveals that she traded in her bailiff's uniform for a new career as a private investigator: "I've broken up more marriages than Vegas and nannycams combined." Plus, she jokes to Dan that she's marrying a woman who "was a person, but she gave it up to be a lawyer." Courtroom humor!
We're hoping that we get to see more of Dan and Roz catching up when Night Court returns for Season 2. In the meantime, press PLAY to check out our exclusive sneak peek above, and then hit the comments below to share your thoughts.
