Wild Cards Renewed For 2 More Seasons In Canada — Fate On The CW TBD
Good news, Wild Cards fans. (Well, sort of.)
On Thursday, CBC Television announced that Wild Cards has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 in Canada. But U.S.-based fans should hold their sighs of relief: The series' fate on The CW has yet to be determined. (TVLine has reached out to The CW for comment.)
The renewal news comes just as Wild Cards is set to air its Season 2 finale Stateside on The CW on Wednesday, May 7 at 8/7c.
The romantic procedural stars Vanessa Morgan (Riverdale) as Max, a con artist who finds herself unexpectedly solving crimes alongside demoted detective Cole, played by Giacomo Gianniotti (Grey's Anatomy). Reassigned to work together in Season 2, "the stakes are raised in the cases they solve, the search for a killer and their feelings for each other," according to its official description.
The show's sophomore run has featured Martin Sheen (The West Wing) in a recurring role as con man Joseph Edwards, a character who is connected to Max and her father. Alongside Sheen, the season has included guest stars Ally Sheedy (Single Drunk Female), Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100), Katie Findlay (Man Seeking Woman) and WWE NXT North American Champion Tony D'Angelo.
