Travis Kelce Says NFL Is 'Overdoing' Taylor Swift Coverage

Travis Kelce is politely asking the NFL to turn it down a notch.

In a new interview on his brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, Taylor Swift's kinda-sorta-maybe beau gently called out his league (and, presumably, the broadcast networks) for its excessive coverage of his kinda-sorta-maybe romance with the pop superstar.

"They're overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation," the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end conceded, before adding, "I think they're just trying to have fun with it."

Travis went on to say that Swift and her celebrity entourage (which this past Sunday included Deadpool, Wolverine and Serena van der Woodsen — are not attending his games "to get thrown on the TV" especially because they "could get caught throwing a big ol' cheeseburger in [their mouth and they] look like an idiot.... You just don't want to be on TV at all times."

For the record, Jason is in agreement with his sib that "they're overdoing it," noting that the NFL "is not used to celebrities coming to their games. Like, basketball has it figured out. They're courtside, you show them once or twice but then they get back to the game. NFL is like, 'Oh my God! Look at all these A-lIst celebrities! Show 'em! Show 'em...!' [The should just] show them once, let [viewers] know they're there, maybe after a touchdown you get a little clip, but [they are going] overboard with it. People are there to watch the game, right?"
