The Golden Bachelorette To Air On ABC This Fall

Ladies and gentlemen of Bachelor Nation, get ready to meet the first-ever Golden Bachelorette.

Following the success of The Golden Bachelor last fall, ABC has ordered The Golden Bachelorette, which will air this fall, TVLine has learned. Casting will be announced at a later date, but the series will once again star someone past the age of 60 and follow "one radiant woman's second chance at love in her golden years," according to the official description.

The Golden Bachelor, with 71-year-old widow Gerry Turner looking for love among a cast of women aged 60 and up, debuted in September and became a surprise hit, with the series premiere accumulating 13.9 million total viewers after a month of linear and streaming viewing.

In The Golden Bachelor's uncomfortably dramatic two-hour season finale (click here for a full recap), Gerry made the painful decision to end things with Leslie Fhima in favor of a future with Theresa Nist. A heartbroken Leslie then confronted Gerry in front of a live studio audience, and they weren't thrilled to welcome him after watching him destroy her world. Gerry and Theresa walked down the aisle a month later in The Golden Wedding, which was televised live on ABC.
