Dan’s ailing rebound romance with Louise hits another speed bump on The Conners when Roseanne sends her hubby a cryptic message from beyond the grave — and we have your exclusive first look at her spectral “return.” [pmc_inline_gallery]
In tonight’s episode of the top-rated ABC sitcom (8/7c), Dan confesses to daughter Becky that he regrets breaking things off with Louise (Katey Sagal), who resurfaces this week after a months-long absence. “I miss her,” he admits to Becky, before quickly berating himself for having the audacity to even consider moving on after Roseanne’s death. “Every time I think about the things I’d be doing with [Louise] — going to concerts, ballgames… anything fun — I feel guilty because I was supposed to be doing that with your mom.”
When Becky suggests that Roseanne would have wanted him to be happy, Dan hilariously shoots back, “Oh, no, no, no… she made it very clear that if she went first she wanted me to be miserable for the rest of my life.”

I still won’t watch!!!! They prob dubbed her voice in from past episodes. I follow Roseanne on you tube. She said ABC contacted her to ask her if she wants to make a statement on what she’s learned from all this and to get another apology. We all told her don’t do it! The Connors cast need to apologize to her.

That was unnecessarily rude!!! I am a “ boomer” who has seen every episode of “Rosanne” countless times…and I LOVE “The Connors”!! It’s sad that you think people in the same age group all think the same!! I am looking forward to seeing how this is presented!!

I’m a progressive, GenX-Millennial/Oldest Millennial and I quite frankly think the obsessive left-right dichotomy to EVERYTHING in our society now is surreal. It has to stop. As for Roseanne, I think what she said was insane and racist, and lets us know that she isn’t mentally stable. However, if she could apologize clearly and come back I think it would improve the show significantly.

Actually, most of the Conner’s cast has attempted to reach out and apologize to Roseanne several times. And Roseanne flat-out refused to communicate with them. Going as far as to take a few of them to court. Why would they care to reach out to her now after everything she’s done? They have a right to make a living as much as Rosanne does. And Roseanne doesn’t have the right to interfere with their careers. BTW, I am both an old school Roseanne Fan as well as a Conners Fan. There are a lot of us out there.

I’m with Elizabeth. I haven’t watched the show since they fired the star and creator….. Roseanne! The cast and crew should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treated her. After all, where would they all be, with the exception of Dan and Jackie, without her!

Everyone makes mistakes and who hasn’t said something they wish they hadn’t! I agree, ABC and the entire cast owe her an apology. I especially think they should have honored her on the episode her daughter gave birth. The only one I have watched just to see if they would..And NO they didn’t. Roseanne was all about her family and she would have been there telling Becky she was gonna be a good mom, she’s got this! Becky needed that ! Bad call ABC and writers!

Again, the cast has attempted several times to apologize to Roseanne in private. And they have been rejected by her at every turn. There is a point where relationships become toxic and trying to repair them become pointless and painful. I’m afraid that maybe the case for Roseanne and her former TV family. It’s probably for the best if she just accepts the fact that they have moved on without her. That would be the most mature and healthy thing for her to do.
The show is better without Roseanne in it, she was all mouth and not much talent. I don,t even know why they even mention her anymore, it’s not her show

Should be a good episode. This season has been a lot better than the last one.
ROSEANNE IS THE ROSEANNE SHOW… Her show is based on her real life from back in the day when she called herself a “Domestic Goddess” while doing stand-up comedy..yes she is a comedian..yes ALL comedians say controversial things..that’s what they do, so to literally remove her from HER SHOW is UNFORGIVABLE! People need to STOP being so politically correct that we forget to forgive when someone makes a mistake! Roseanne deserves a second chance just like the rest of us! If you want ratings..bring ROSEANNE back!!
There’s a big difference between being a button-pushing comedian and a blatant racist, though. That’s why she got justifiably crucified by the public and press. I LOVED Rosie my entire life and immediately turned on her after that racist rant. People need to learn that there are consequences for their actions.
If you loved Roseanne your whole life then you would know that Roseanne is not racist. Even from the beginning of her show back in the 90’s it could have been considered progressive. She should have maybe rephrased what she said but everyone says things without thinking, especially if they are inebriated in some way. This quarantine has really proven that, with all the drunk posts online. She never knew the woman she was talking about was black. I didn’t when I saw her. She looks like she has white skin. The planet of the apes thing I really get why she came up with that because when I saw the women’s picture online in an article before I heard what Roseanne had said, and before reading the headline I thought it might have been the actress that had played as the ape scientist in the planet of the apes and it was going to say that she had died. That was why I started reading the article, to find out because I always liked that movie. The woman obviously doesn’t look like an ape but her haircut and the shape of face made me think she was probably the actress because an older woman usually doesn’t have her picture on the front of a headline without it being an an actor’s death or sickness anouncment. Even the guy that played Gollum in Lord of the Rings had some similar features as the character without makeup. Still to this day when I think about that woman I still associate her with that character in my mind and have to tell myself that isn’t who she is. I hope the real actress that played that character is ok though. She was pretty cool. Roseanne has never called people racist names on purpose but other comedians on ABC and Disney’s payroll have said highly offensive things on purpose, like James Gunn’s pedophile jokes. They rehired him. Double standard. I support almost nothing from ABC and very few things from Disney now.
Don’t say racist things if you aren’t racist. I’d lose my job if I said that hogwash too. Everyone knows she has mental health issues, and I suspect that this stems more from that than from any real racism. Speech has consequences in a free market. However, if she apologizes and shows contrition, I think the show would be wise to take her back she’s a good actor. There are red lines, and I think her mental illness would be an ongoing concern moving forward if she came back.
I get that what Roseanne said was wrong but for *her* show to go on without her like this is wrong. I understand there were issues with people being out of work but the Connors should have been one and done with the knowing there would only be one season to fulfill the work promised.
You clearly aren’t from LA. Being on a successful show and having job security is rare. They can hurt one morons feelings or potentially impoverish dozens of people. It’s easy if you take your blinders off.

I wish they’d bring her back, bad dream or something. I watch Roseanne reruns all the time, so what’s the difference. . The whole thing was blown way out of I think everyone knows she wouldn’t have said it if she knew proportion.

I never missed the Rosanne show since you left never wT hed I asked my family to watch they said without Roseanne it sucks big time!! Please come back and the ratings will go back through the roof like when you were here mama!!! PleDe we all love and need our Roseanne back, as quick as possible!!
