Super Bowl LIX Teams Set: Chiefs And Eagles To Face Off (Again) For NFL Title

Stop us if you've heard this one before: The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl.

The matchup was set after the results of Sunday's NFC and AFC Championship Games, with the Eagles crushing the Washington Commanders, 55-23, powered by three touchdowns from running back Saquon Barkley, and the Chiefs edging out the Buffalo Bills, 32-29.

Super Bowl LIX, featuring the Chiefs vs. the Eagles, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30/5:30c. The game will air on Fox, with NFL great Tom Brady serving as analyst alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. Additionally, the game will stream for free on Fox's ad-supported streaming service Tubi.

The Chiefs and Eagles will square off for the NFL championship for the second time in three years, with Kansas City coming out on top in Super Bowl LVII, 38-35. The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and the Eagles' Jalen Hurts will face off again as well as starting quarterbacks, only the fourth time that two quarterbacks have played each other multiple times in the Super Bowl. Plus, Mahomes and the Chiefs are going for their third straight Super Bowl win — a feat no team has accomplished in the Super Bowl era.

There's more than just football happening on Super Bowl Sunday, though: Kendrick Lamar will headline the game's halftime show, with an assist from SZA. Jon Batiste will perform the national anthem, with Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle performing "America the Beautiful" and Ledisi performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Plus, if you stick around after the confetti falls, Fox will premiere Season 3 of the game show The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe, following the game.
