Peyton List is going back to high school… possibly forever.
TVLine has an exclusive first look at the cast of Paramount+’s School Spirits, a young adult drama series produced by Awesomeness starring List (Cobra Kai) as “a teen stuck in the afterlife who decides to investigate her mysterious disappearance alongside a group of other students who are also stuck in limbo at their high school,” per the show’s official logline.
In addition to List, School Spirits stars Kristian Flores (Reboot), Spencer MacPherson (Reign), Kiara Pichardo (The Society), Sarah Yarkin (Motherland: Fort Salem), Nick Pugliese (Dramarama), Rainbow Wedell (The Bureau of Magical Things) and Milo Manheim (Z-O-M-B-I-E-S).
School Spirits is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Nate and Megan Trinrud, and Maria Nguyen. The graphic novel is slated for publication in fall 2023 by Clarion Books/HarperAlley, an imprint of HarperCollins Children’s Books.
Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton) serves as showrunner, executive-producing alongside pilot writers Nate and Megan Trinrud, and director Max Winkler.
The show’s eight-episode first season will premiere on Paramount+ sometime in 2023.

Are the students stuck in limbo also dead? Does the whole show take place in the afterlife?
This is what I thought Boo, Bit was about! That show was probably the worst thing Ive ever watched. The lead character was AWFUL. I hope this show is better!
Sounds like an interesting premise.
at least four of these ” teens” look nearing 30.
I was thinking the same thing, if Cobra Kai gets renewed for S6 they need to do a time jump cos List and all the other school kids are clearly looking too old now
Peyton List is the only reason I’m remotely curious about this show. And honestly, I’d love to see her move beyond the YA stuff. She’s certainly talented enough for something weightier.
