NFL RedZone Studio Staff Evacuates During On-Air Emergency — Watch
During live coverage of the Buffalo Bills vs. Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday, the NFL RedZone broadcast was halted by an alarm that could be heard on-air, prompting staff in the studio to evacuate.
"This is a first in my 20-something year broadcasting career," Hanson told viewers. "We have an alarm going off in the studios of NFL RedZone right now, in our studios here in Inglewood, Calif. We are being told we need to evacuate the building. We do not know the nature of the emergency." (Watch video below.)
"There was a false alarm at the NFL Network studio and thankfully there was no fire," the NFL said via statement after the incident. "No business functions, including NFL RedZone, were interrupted."

As alarms blared in the background, Hanson called the emergency an "unprecedented situation." He said the control room and studio needed to evacuate as they followed necessary safety protocols.
Shortly after his chaotic sign-off, Hanson wrote on X, "Well, that was.... interesting. Alarm has stopped. Apparently all clear. Still waiting on details." He added that the broadcast was "one to remember."
Fans on X immediately began commending Hanson for his response and found humor in the bizarre situation. Barstool Sports posted, "On my way to the RedZone studio to save Scott Hanson." Hanson responded, "Thanks! Great to know y'all have my back!"
