Will NCIS‘ Ziva Be Back for Hanukkah? Find Out Cote de Pablo’s Next Air Dates
For fans of NCIS‘ Ziva, we now know exactly when “later in the season” will be.
Prior to the start of Season 17, it was revealed that series alum Cote de Pablo would be back not just for the first two episodes, but also another pair of episodes airing “later in the season.”
TVLine can now confirm that de Pablo’s next appearances will air Dec. 17 (the final episode of 2019) and Jan. 7, 2020 (the first episode of the new year).
During her TVLine preview Q&A, Diona Reasonover shared that “up until this last episode that we filmed… our characters [Kasie and Ziva] have never met on-screen.” Meaning, it sounds like Abby’s replacement will actually get to meet the infamous NCIS team member this next time around.
Similarly, Brian Dietzen apparently Instagrammed that de Pablo was back on set just last week.
De Pablo stunned NCIS fans by popping up in the final moments of the Season 16 finale, when the former agent arrived at Gibbs’ basement to warn of looming danger. The first two episode of Season 17 picked up that storyline, where it was revealed that a vengeful someone had learned that Ziva did not in fact die years ago in the bombing of her late father’s farmhouse in Israel.
After subverting said would-be assassin, Ziva told Gibbs that she had one more thing to do, and she needed to do it alone. Gibbs’ clamshell phone then rang and the Called ID indicated it was… Tony. (Gibbs had called DiNozzo and left a message, with no details.)
“He should hear [the truth] from you,” Gibbs said. To which Ziva responded, “And he will,” before she exited the cabin she had been using as an office/hideout in the suburbs.
Time to get excited!! hope we get that on screen Tiva reunion!

Don’t think Zeva character is needed. The actress left because she wasn’t happy with her role. The current team has worked very well without her. I won’t watch NCIS anymore.
I’m wondering if these will be a two part story arc (something they haven’t done with the Christmas episode) or two stand alone episodes. Either way, I’m hoping that the timing means Weatherly won’t be involved and that this will mark the end of the Ziva story. Ready for the show to put the focus back on the regular cast.

TVLine needs to do a “Characters Who Ruined TV Shows” list. I have a #1 suggestion for them.
She could easily fill the top 5 slots of that list.
Hopefully this is the end of Ziva for real this time. Why the lame writers on this show had to bring her back is beyond me. The new team works well and the idea of the Mossad super girl isn’t necessary anymore. Get her next visit over with – without any interference from Weatherly’s DiNozzo – and move on with some decent story telling.
The writers are lame and you watch the show and like the new team…okay.

I was very happy when they wrote her out and I will be very unhappy if she keeps coming back.

I just hope they gave Ziva this arc so Tony could have a happy ending, reunited with Ziva, and the family living in Paris together. We could always have more Robert Wagner visits, with him keeping us appraised of the family’s status.
How could this ever end well? She treated him like crap for years. Claimed he fathered her child, but kept her from him. Abandoned the child for 4 years. Why? Meanwhile she’s hiding in her she-shed solving her own 5+ years old cold cases with Adam, whose eyes are just like Tali’s and who she knocked combat boots with more than once? Run, Tony, run!

I’m very sad about how Christopher died I understand he left the show but no warning I was totally shocked I’m happy hes moving on but that makes 2 main characters have this show I feel it’s time I no longer watch NCIS New Orleans. As fo NCIS please bring Ziva back for good.

I like the new cast but I hated the way they left it with Ziva and Tony. I think once we get a reunion we can have some closure and really move on. It just felt so unfinished. Aside from a reunion episode or two, it felt like their roles were done. Neither character was satisfied with their personal life and they needed to find life outside of the agency. I am kind of shocked at the amount of people that seem to disapprove of Ziva and Tony’s characters. How do you even consider yourself a fan if you don’t like 2 of the biggest names on the show?
Bring Ziva back. Tony can do a guest appearance.
