Mayor Of Kingstown Renewed For Season 3 At Paramount+
Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown has been renewed for Season 3, TVLine has confirmed.
Jeremy Renner, who suffered 30 broken bones in a near-fatal snowplow accident in January, is set to return as Mike McLusky, a former inmate whose family works as mediators between the street gangs, prisoners, guards and cops in the fictional town of Kingstown, Mich. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.
A Season 3 release date remains to be determined given Renner's recovery, in addition to WGA and SAG-AFTRA's ongoing labor disputes with studios and streamers.
Kingstown's Season 2 finale dropped March 19 and in addition to Renner starred Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi, Hamish Allan-Headley and Aidan Gillen.
Sheridan created Kingstown alongside Dillon. Both executive-produce alongside Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson and Regina Corrado.
