TVLine Items: Magnum P.I. Trailer, Days Additions And More
Magnum P.I. fans, say aloha to the official trailer for the island drama's 10-episode swan song.
Magnum, which was famously saved by NBC after being dropped by CBS, returns with the back half of its fifth (and final) season on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 9/8c, where it will lead out of Quantum Leap Season 2.
In the Season 5B premiere, "Hit and Run," Magnum and Higgins (Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks) go to work for a dangerous and controversial client, while Kumu (Amy Hill) and Shammy (Christopher Thornton) help move TC (who got shot in the Season 5A finale) to a veterans' rehab facility.
In subsequent episodes, Magnum and Higgins help a friend of Kumu's who lost her life savings to a scammer, TC becomes increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress in his recovery, Magnum and Higgins enlist Katsumoto (Tim Kang) to go undercover when a chef at a high-end restaurant goes missing (Hernandez and Weeks teased this a small eternity ago), and Kumu's work with Cade (Martin Martinez) at the Cultural Center delves into one of America's darker chapters — the internment of Japanese Americans in the wake of Pearl Harbor.
