Kathryn Hahn's MCU Nudity 'First' Is Celebrated On Jennifer Hudson Show: 'It's Like I Walked On The Moon!'
Kathryn Hahn's MCU "first" — being the only woman to bare her butt in a Marvel film or TV series — is formally commemorated on the Monday, Oct. 28 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
As seen in the preview clip below, Hudson invites Hahn to share how the dorsal nudity in Agatha All Along's first episode came to be, and then presents her with a plaque commemorating her piece of Marvel history.
"It's like I walked on the moon!" quips Hahn, clutching the plaque.
Hahn says of her status as one of only two bared butts in the MCU, "To know that it's behind Thor [in Thor: Love and Thunder] is pretty great. Thor... me."
The first episode of Disney+'s follow-up to WandaVision found Agnes O'Connor — Agatha's Westview hex persona — working as a Mare of Easttown-like police detective. When Agatha was nudged out of Wanda's spell, she cycled through several of her Westview looks as her true identity resurfaced. She then darted across the street — buck naked, but obstructed by hair and hedges — to confer with her neighbor Herb.
Unclothed Agatha then raced back to her house, this time outright flashing viewers.
Agatha showrunner Jac Schaeffer told TVLine that Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige's initial reaction to Hahn's proposed nude scene was one of "Really?" — but ultimately approval. After all, Schaeffer noted, the scene "is so firmly based in character. It is not exploitative, it is not sexual.... It is about this witch and what her priorities are. And in this moment, she needs answers and she doesn't care if she's naked or not. So yeah, it's a point of pride for us."
Agatha All Along releases its final two episodes this Wednesday on Disney+.
