Ian Ziering Reports He And Daughter 'Unscathed' After 'Alarming' Incident Invoking Minibike Gang

Ian Ziering left the scene of a violent attack "unscathed" but "deeply concerned" about the "larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior."

Ziering was the victim of a New Year's Eve altercation in Los Angeles, Calif. According to TMZ, which obtained video of the incident (see below), the Beverly Hills, 90210 star exited his car on Hollywood Boulevard to assess the damage after a group of motorized mini bikes wove in and out of traffic and potentially dinged his vehicle. It was then that the bikers surrounded Ziering and began to attack him.

A subsequent video showed Ziering consoling his 12-year-old daughter Mia, who was present at the time of the terrifying brawl.

"I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace," Ziering wrote on Instagram late Monday. "This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.

"I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety," his statement continues. "We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone. I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences."

As of press time, no arrests have been made.
