Carrie Underwood To Headline New Year's Rockin' Eve — See Who Else Is Performing On ABC

Carrie Underwood's powerful vocals are about to sing us into a whole new calendar year.

The eight-time Grammy winner — who will soon return to her American Idol roots as judge — will headline Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, closing out 2024 with a live medley of hits from Times Square. This marks Underwood's second time headlining the annual ABC telecast, having previously done so during the countdown to 2016. (She also performed on the December 2007 broadcast.)

"I have such fun memories of performing on New Year's Rockin' Eve in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I'm so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year," Underwood said in a statement. "I'm thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning American Idol by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year's Eve in Times Square."

Additional New Year's Rockin' Eve performers include Alanis Morissette (joined by special guest Reneé Rapp), DJ Cassie (joined by Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh), Natasha Bedingfield, Dasha, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Luis Fonsi, Hardy, Cody Johnson, Jonas Brothers, Kesha, Lenny Kravitz, Laufey, Megan Moroney, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Teddy Swims, Tinashe, TLC and T-Pain.

As previously reported, Rita Ora will co-host alongside Seacrest, while Dayanara Torres will host from Puerto Rico. ABC's New Year's Eve broadcast kicks off Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 8/7c.

Dick Clark Productions is owned by a subsidiary of Penske Media Corporation, TVLine's parent company.
