Sunday's Bills-Steelers Wild Card Game Cancelled Due To Weather — Get New Date
Sunday's NFL Playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills on CBS has been postponed due to a snowstorm in Western New York.
The Wild Card matchup, which was originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 pm ET, will now take place on Monday at 4:30 pm ET at Highmark Stadium. There is no word on what CBS will air on Sunday in place of the game.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul on Friday declared a State of Emergency in Western New York in "anticipation of a life-threatening snowstorm this weekend."
"We are expecting very serious whiteout, blizzard-like conditions and the forecast of 20 inches may not sound like a lot to Western New Yorkers, but it could be falling at a heavy rate of two to three inches an hour," Hochul said in a Friday press conference.
The Steelers vs. Bills game is one of six matchups comprising the Wild Card Weekend — the first round of NFL playoffs. The winter weather will likely affect playing conditions during the Dolphins vs. Chiefs Wild Card game, which is set to kick off Saturday at 8 pm ET.
Kansas City could reportedly experience "record cold temperatures" throughout the weekend with "highs struggling in the single digits," according to the city's local Fox 4.
