AMC+ Launches Ad-Supported Streaming Plan — Find Out Monthly Price

You can now add AMC+ to the ever-growing list of streaming services that now offer a cheaper, but ad-supported, plan.

AMC Networks announced on Thursday afternoon the rollout of an ad-supported version of AMC+, to at first be available on its direct-to-consumer platform and apps before expanding to third-party platforms and channels providers in the coming weeks.

Priced at $4.99 per month (compared to the ad-free plan's $8.99 ask), the ad-supported AMC+ includes a "light ad load of less than five minutes per hour," yet all of the same series and film titles that are offered on the original plan.

Ad-free plan subscribers also have the option to save more than 20% by purchasing an annual subscription for a nice round $83.88.

"This ad-supported version of AMC+ gives consumers more flexibility while bringing ads to the only piece of our distribution ecosystem that wasn't already ad-supported," AMC Networks chief commercial officer Kim Kelleher said in a statement.

Both AMC+ subscription tiers include AMC's premium original series and fan-driven franchises, including so many Walking Dead shows, the acclaimed Dark Winds and the assorted, new-ish Anne Rice series. And as part of the AMC+ bundle, ad-supported subscribers will also have full access to the streaming services Shudder, Sundance Now and IFC Films Unlimited, as well as the AMC, BBC America, IFC and Sundance TV linear networks.

Will a low entry point of $4.99/month get you thinking about getting AMC+ (with ads)?
