The BET drama kicks off its sixth season on Wednesday, May 31 at 9/8c, and TVLine has your exclusive first look at the explosive trailer.
In case you need a refresher, Season 5 wrapped last month with Danni rejecting her friends’ attempt at an intervention, Karen discovering that Aaron might have another woman on the side, Fatima helping Zac establish visitation rules with the mother of his child, and Maurice staring down the barrel of Que’s gun (and that’s not a sexual metaphor).
The trailer sheds quite a bit of light on those developments, with Preston potentially moving on from Danni, Sabrina leaning on Calvin for comfort in a time of crisis, and Andi falling right back into Gary’s bed. And what’s this about Fatima wanting to fight for custody of Zac’s son? This season is going to be wild.

I can’t wait for season six to begin but Terry perry is really doing to much with the Zac and Fatima characters I mean why all thr drama just let they love grown in a positive way. Fatima needs to get pregnant everyone else that has been in Zac life has kids
New season, new day, new beginnings with the same ole people in the same ole place, with the same ole predicaments involving the same ole people while having the same ole conversations about the same ole things. It is truly the more things change the more they stay the same. 🍷🍷 Cheers 🍷🍷 to hoping that this is the finale (last) season for Sistas. This series has run a good race, it fought a good fight, it’s run its course but what more does it have to give??? There has been no character development, progress , growth or maturity since the 1st season in 2019. The execution of the concept has loss its way so much so until the plot is more chaos and drama than about Sistas or Sistahood. Now please RIP it.
I agree with you !!! Lawd, Karen been pregnant for how long and seems to never show it’s been 6 seasons and she has been pregnant for about 3 of them, it’s like all 6 seasons happen in like a week time. Then there is no positive results, it’s like the old show Good Times but they never seem to have a good time. Not 1 single character has a positive outlook or outcome. I hope this season brings closure and a positive ending.
Amen. This needs to be the closure season for the show. It has run its course and given what it could but Sistas is done. It’s repetitive, stale, stagnant and boring. It has no new flesh ideas or experiences. Everyone is miserable, traumatized, self absorbed and has absolutely no common sense or self awareness. It is a horrible representation of the stereotypical beliefs of what those outside of the black community believe that black men and women are. Obtaining professional credentials seemingly undermined by behaviors that are unprofessional, incapable of maintaining good relationships/ friendships, causing chaos, having endless drama and always battling crisis after crisis many because of a lack of self awareness or self inflicted problems from a repetitive cycle of doing the same things in the same manner and hoping to get a different result. Tyler Perry’s writing depicts the ugliness and poorest representation of black men and women co-signing the stereotypical beliefs that exist about black men and women in the the black community
I totally agree with your comments. It’s time to retire Sistas. I don’t want to see anyone without a job but this show has gotten stupid and negative. I’m so glad my girlfriends/Sistas ain’t like this or act like this. Either grow some positivity or Let It Go!
I think the show is amazing and yes, it IS the same situations but different or whatever. It’s so real bc of that. What is real life? Same old stuff just a different day… the whole point is to create characters that are real and no matter how much you can hate someone or live someone, you still want to know what happens next. And that is just what these actors/resses do. I am always anticipating what’s going to happen on the next episode, googling/researching what happens next or how to cope with certain things I have buried until its brought to light that things are real ppl do go through these things and it can be handled. Anyways, my point is that through this show, the team and Tyler do an amazing job making it more than just a show to watch and then it’s over. It gets you thinking, addressing, involving yourself in the show and matters that you may have been through yourself. It makes you feel close to the cast, like you know them. Great job
Tyler Perry fans are loyal and faithful to Tyler Perry no matter what. They supported him not because of his creativity, writing or good work but because of their love for Tyler Perry, the man , his story , his struggle and him overcoming. He could tie his shoe and they would say it was a great show. And they are always trying to apply it to real life. Well I hope that there aren’t many 30 something year old women repeatedly experiencing the things that these women experience without taking some control over their lives, using common sense and navigating life as adults that have learned life lessons. Sistas is a very poor reflection of black women as though they don’t know how or don’t have the ability to think positively for themselves and are willing to settled for situationsships instead of standing their ground, moving on and being courageous enough to grow, mature, develop and progress in their lives. Who wants to experience the same sh.t day after day, year after year without realizing that it’s time for a change and to do something different. Life is a journey that has drama, sadness, sorrow, misery, hurt, pain, dysfunction but life also is about growth, change, challenge, courage, fun, laughter, celebration, and love. These women aren’t really even friends. Andi and Karen are the self proclaimed ringleaders who decide who gets included and who gets left out. Danni and Sabrina are friends by default because they are always left with each other. The only reason why Sabrina is accepted by Andi and Karen is because she’s a follower but Danni tells it like it is. Sabrina is the messenger who brings Danni, Andi and Karen messages. And Andi, Karen and Sabrina talk about Danni and treats her like she’s dumb or the black sheep of the group. Danni even knows this because Zac told Danni that they talk about her when Zac was staying with Danni. So if this is real life than somebody needs to know that self control and self awareness is a real thing and it’s ok to expect more from today than yesterday and that you have to participate in life for it to be beneficial. Thank God Sistas is definitely not real life for many BLACK WOMEN, who want more than mediocre.

I love this show and I am anticipating the new season and the newest drama for each character. What I like most is that this show is so different from all the reality shows with African Americans. This is reality . The House Wives franchises are fantasy. I’m not a fan of them. There’s way too much cursing and the Bitch words usage. It’s pure garbage. I never watch them because this is not how I interact with my friends

I wanted to see Andi with Robin and not Gary. He is really crazy and doing everything all wrong to win her back and she is falling for it.
Karen also needs to get it together as well. I am sick of her as well. But I love them all.
Danni is another one needs to quit all that drinking and having sex with any and every man she meets.
I love Fatima I see no flaws in her just a real woman. Reminds me of myself. For real.
