The Rookie Photos Mircea Monroe Returns Isabel

The Rookie‘s Tim Bradford will get a blast from his past when ex-wife Isabel resurfaces, and TVLine has a trio of exclusive photos from the reunion.
In the light ABC procedural’s next episode, titled “S.T.R.” and airing this Tuesday, April 18 at 8/7c, Tim’s ex-wife returns — the character’s first appearance in more than four years — and asks the team to help her save someone from her undercover past.
But as TVLine’s Inside Line column previously warned you, as Tim and Lucy (played by Eric Winter and Melissa O’Neil) assist Isabel in said search, it will put some pressure on the #Chenford relationship. (Among other things, the presence of Isabel, a former narcotics detective, serves as a reminder that her past undercover work is why Tim’s first marriage didn’t work out. And Lucy has been going UC more and more….)
Best known from her roles on Drive, Hart of Dixie, Impastor and Episodes — and for being a member of Chuck‘s C.A.T. Squad — Monroe guested on The Rookie a half dozen times during Season 1, and was last seen in the Feb 12, 2019 episode.
During that Season 1 stretch, it was revealed, by Isabel to Tim’s then-boot Lucy, that she had been a detective in the Gangs & Narcotics Division. Tim later filled in the dots for Lucy, that Isabel had gotten addicted to the very drugs she had fought to keep off the streets, hence why he hadn’t seen her in a year.
In subsequent appearances, Isabel acted as a CI for the LAPD, and got shot near-fatally in the head for her troubles.

I can’t wait for this!!!
I’m so excited for this episode!
That is awful but I guess there needs to some drama. I hope Lucy gets support from her female detectives. A part of me wishes she wasn’t so nice.
It doesn’t really matter but we last saw Isabel in the Feb 12, 2019 Valentine’s episode Heartbreak, where Bradford visited her in rehab and they officially ended things, not the Dec 11, 2018 episode.
Fixed.
I don’t understand how she can do undercover work when she keeps appearing on cop documentaries in other episodes.
I’ve come to the conclusion that we have to accept all these characters going undercover despite surely being all over the internet. It’s like virtually every legal show having criminal trials that take place a few weeks after the crime rather than six months to a year or most doctors shown on shows like Grey’s and The Good Doctor–including the people in charge–being surgeons when that is far from reality. At least House showed the really brilliant doctors, the ones who diagnose and treat, not the ones who cut, and Perry Mason focused on getting cases dismissed in early probably cause hearings, not trials.
I mean technically she could probably go undercover as Juicy from now on
Lol yeah I agree.
Tim and Lucy are the best part of the show for me! The main reason I watch!
In the post/news item there is no mention of teh actress full name. she’s just “Monroe”.
I mean, what the heck.
Her name is Mircea Monroe. That information should be in the article, not just the comment section.
Just let viewers enjoy Tim and Lucy – we’ve waited long enough! Even for a few episodes!
