The good news, as The CW’s The Flash continues Season 8 this Wednesday night: Iris’ harrowing “vanishing” act did not last as long as any of us feared.
The bad news? Welp, it’s pretty bad.
When last we tuned into the veteran Arrowverse series, Sue Dearbon (played by Natalie Dreyfuss) showed up on Barry’s (Grant Gustin) doorstep to reveal that his wife Iris (Candice Patton) vanished into thin air after being aggressively grabbed by the metahuman Tinya, who blames Iris for her mother Renee’s own disappearance.
But not long at all into this Wednesday’s episode, Barry gets word that Iris as suddenly rematerialized back in Coast City, and he races off to check on his missus.
For how long does their reunion stay 100-percent happy, though? Press play above to hear what Iris has to say about her disappearance and what she saw (or didn’t see) during the experience.
Elsewhere in this week’s episode: With Deathstorm aka Not!Ronnie terrorizing the city, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) lends a hand to the local authorities, while Barry gets an assist from Cecille (Danielle Nicolet) to track down the grief-feeding mass murderer.
