Good Doctor Books Peter Jacobson For Final Season Guest Stint — How Many House Calls Does That Make Now?

TVLine can exclusively reveal that House vet Peter Jacobson will guest-star in the Feb. 27 episode of ABC's The Good Doctor, reuniting him with House creator David Shore.
Jacobson will appear not as a doctor, but as a patient. He'll play Sal Zacharia, who is brought into the emergency room at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital when he's hit by a car. "An avid sports fan and gambling addict, he's willing to take a few more chances with his medical care than the team is comfortable with," according to the character breakdown. Jacobson is best known to TV audiences for his turn as Dr. Chris Taub on Shore's previous medical drama House. He scrubbed in during Season 4 and remained a series regular through its eighth and final season, which concluded in 2012.
His five-season stint on the Fox hit was followed by a starring role on the USA Network sci-fi drama Colony (opposite Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies), and recurring roles on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead, CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles and Showtime's Ray Donovan.

LISA EDELSTEIN
Edelstein — who played Dean of Medicine Dr. Lisa Cuddy — made her Good Doctor debut in Season 2, Episode 1 as Dr. Marina Blaize, an expert oncologist who oversaw treatment of Dr. Aaron Glassman's brain tumor. She returned for five additional episodes throughout Season 2.
ROBERT SEAN LEONARD
Leonard — who played oncology department head Dr. James Wilson — appeared in The Good Doctor Season 3, Episode 3 as Shamus O'Malley, an avid sports fisherman. He was rushed to St. Bons following a fishing accident that challenged Dr. Melendez's team as they sought to treat his injuries without damaging his prize catch.
ANNE DUDEK
Dudek — who recurred as Dr. Amber "Cutthroat Bitch" Volakis — guest-starred in The Good Doctor Season 6, Episode 10 as Olivia Dewitt, the mother of a teenage boy with Gardner's syndrome whose past surgical history made him more difficult to treat.
