New on Netflix - December 2020

To help you anticipate and navigate all that Netflix has to offer, TVLine presents this comprehensive list of all the TV shows, movies, documentaries and specials making their debut on the streaming service this month — all as a free supplement to our daily What to Watch and weekly TVLine-Up columns.

Among Netflix TV shows this December, you have the new Shondaland drama Bridgerton, the final Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, new episodes of Big Mouth, and a Selena Quintanilla-Pérez bio-series. Also on tap is the complete run of the sci-fi classic Stargate SG-1, a holiday-themed edition of The Great British Baking Show, and the series finales of family sitcoms Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love and The Big Show Show.

You’ll also find a smattering of potential Oscar contenders, including the David Fincher period piece MANK (starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried and Lily Collins), Ryan Murphy’s adaptation of the Broadway musical The Prom (with Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden and Kerry Washington), George Clooney’s space epic The Midnight Sky (co-starring Kyle Chandler and Felicity Jones), and the late Chadwick Boseman’s swan song, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (co-starring Viola Davis, Glynn Turman, Colman Domingo and Michael Potts).

TVLine is also offering a look at what’s coming up on HBO Max (where Streep will also appear in Steven Soderbergh’s Let Them All Talk), Amazon Prime (where The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Rachel Brosnahan headlines new crime drama I’m Your Woman) and Disney+ (which wraps The Mandalorian‘s sophomore season and drops new Pixar movie Soul).
