Love Is Blind Season 2 Finale Recap: Which Couples Didn't Say 'I Do'?

The big day is here! Netflix's "dating experiment" Love Is Blind wrapped up a highly entertaining Season 2 with a finale that saw five couples walk down the aisle. But how many of them actually got hitched? Well... let's just say that number is less than five.

So grab a shiny gold wine glass and read on to find out what went down in an extremely messy season finale.

Nick and Danielle

We pick up mid-wedding ceremony, with a very sweaty Nick looking very uncertain about taking the plunge with Danielle. (And of course, him saying no would confirm every irrational fear Danielle has had all season long.) But he says yes! "I have no question whatsoever that you're the person I'm supposed to be with," he tells her, and they share a sweet kiss. "I'm so happy," Danielle says — although Nick's mom doesn't look so happy, we have to say. They walk off together through the wedding venue's lush grounds, and Nick tells us his choice to say yes was "a game-time decision" (?) "because I wasn't a hundred percent sure that she was a hundred percent sure." OK, dude. As long as you said yes... because we did not want to witness Danielle's meltdown if you didn't.

Deepti and Abhishek

I'm just now noticing that all the couples are having the weddings at the same venue. (Netflix must've scored a package deal, huh?) Anyway, Shake says he's "excited," but his foot is tapping nervously. He tells his friends (again!) that he doesn't have an "instinctual, physical attraction" towards Deeps — and man, you've gotta stop telling so many people that. But he also says his relationship with Deeps is something you find "once every 10, 20 years, maybe a lifetime." So we guess he'll settle for someone who reminds him of his auntie?

Love Is Blind Season 2 DeepsDeeps, meanwhile, quotes Ron Burgundy and tells her friends she's "in a glass case of emotion" as she gets ready. They both don traditional Indian garb for the ceremony, which looks fantastic, and their parents are really cute. Shake tells his parents he "could go either way right now," though — which doesn't sound good! He walks down the aisle accompanied by a festive drummer and a group of dancing guests, and he looks knocked out when Deeps walks down the aisle. ("You look hot," he whispers to her at the altar.) But when it's time for her to choose, she tells Shake: "No, I cannot marry you." Oof! "I deserve somebody who knows for sure," she adds, "so I'm choosing myself." Hell yeah!

After walking away, Deeps says that if Shake was the right one for her, "he would make me feel like I was the one, and he never did that" Left at the altar, Shake tries to laugh it off, insisting that this is still a celebration and cueing the drummer to drum away his pain. (It doesn't work, of course.) While Deeps' mom consoles her, Shake goes into defense mode, telling his friends that actually, "I was the one that was more on the fence" (sure, buddy) and openly checking out a female wedding guest. And hey, he has reservations at Nobu on Sunday, so he'll be fine.

Deeps says that one day, Shake will realize what he missed out on, and by then, "I'll be long gone." She puts a bow on it by saying: "He doesn't deserve me." Amen, sister.

Shayne and Natalie

The fairy tale wedding of wild-eyed cartoon character Shayne and his bride-to-be Natalie doesn't get off to a great start: Danielle confesses that the night before, they got into a "really bad" fight where he said "some really hurtful things" to her. (Netflix, why was this not on camera? We need footage of this.) She says she brought up his drinking to him and he "got really, really angry." But she still loves him and he's still her best friend, she says between sobs. Girl, all those flags. They're red. Like, really, really red.

Shayne tells his friends he and Natalie got into another argument, "of course," and he admits he doesn't get enough affirmations from her: "I just never feel like I'm enough." (To be fair, she does call him a "piece of s–t" a lot.) Natalie thinks if they didn't forge such a strong bond in the pods, she would've left already, but "my love forces me to... not walk away." Girl! The word "forces" should not be in your vocabulary when you're talking about the man you're about to marry.

As the ceremony arrives, Shayne's mother is all smiles... but Natalie's mother is not smiling. Uh-oh. Shayne is fidgeting and freaking out as Natalie comes down the aisle, and when it comes time to choose, he kind of shrugs his way though saying: "I do. A thousand times over." Now it's Natalie's turn, and she says they've "grown a lot" together... but "I don't." She apologizes profusely, telling him: "I still love you, and you're still my best friend." Well, that makes it all better.

She runs off, and he chases after her, insisting that he understands her decision. She says this doesn't have to close the door on their relationship, but he's not sure: "Respectfully, I'm gonna need time to think about this." He adds that what he said before was "how I truly felt," and she fires back: "So you're saying you truly felt like you hated me and I was the worst thing for you at that moment?" Oh, so that's what he said the night before? Oh girl. Just get outta there. Close that door. And lock it.

Shayne mutters something about not apologizing for how he feels and does a hostile, possibly intoxicated interview where he barks that he's hurt and still processing. He's slurring his words and looks like he might throw up at any moment. Natalie, meanwhile, feels like a weight has been lifted, and she realized she can't trust Shayne like she trusts her father: "Love can only go so far." Yes, and let's hope this love stops right here. But hey, Shayne: Shaina's still out there!

Mallory and Salvador

Now these two, we're actually rooting for: Sal has been an absolute sweetheart, and the only problem here is that Mallory doesn't seem to realize what a great catch he is. He admits, though, that "I don't know if I see that reciprocation from Mallory," as we cut to her flirting with Jarrette after the pods. Plus, her family doesn't seem to approve. (Her parents and brothers aren't at the wedding, which is tough.) Mallory tells her sister that she loves Sal, though, and she can see herself spending her life with him. As you should!

Love Is Blind Season 2 SalvadorSal tells his family that he's going to "see how he feels in the moment," which doesn't bode well, and he won't know until he sees her walk down the aisle. Well, that's risky as hell, but OK! Mallory ominously notes that Sal "always seems to throw me a curveball." So is that curveball the mariachi band Sal hired to play at their wedding... or something more? Mallory walks down the aisle, and they look cute together, and they exchange cute vows, and we're really hoping this one works out! But yeah, about that: When it's Sal's turn, he says through tears: "I cannot." He adds that "I just feel like I need more time," and she reassures him that's OK.

Is it, though? She walks off, and Sal apologizes to her family and loved ones, being the total class act that he is. When he sits down with Mallory, she admits she might've said yes if he said yes. But when she asks if he wants to keep "exploring" their relationship, he can only tell her: "I just need to take a few days." He does say he wants to take her on a date... but that's a far cry from saying "I do." She cries about how she thought they were on the same page, but they weren't. Plus, he tells his friends, "We did try," which sounds very past tense. When he held Mallory's hands, he felt like "whatever it is we needed, we needed more of it." Maybe she should've said yes to Jarrette after all?

Result: NOT MARRIED

Jarrette and Iyanna

C'mon guys, we need multiple marriages out of this! Come through! We like these two, although we kind of think Iyanna shouldn't have to settle for being Jarrette's second choice. The two of them say all the right things as they get ready, and Jarrette acknowledges he needs to change his hard-partying way: "I can't be doing the things I was doing as a single man." Um, yeah dude! They do both get emotional, though, and amazingly, they both say "Thugs don't cry" though they're in separate rooms, so this is pretty much meant to be.

Iyanna says she knows Jarrette intends to change, but "I haven't seen those changes yet" — while we see Jarrette taking large sips of alcohol with his buddies. At the altar, they're both all smiles, and we even get a little teary when Iyanna tells him: "I feel so understood with you, I feel so loved by you, and that has never happened." His vows are sweet, too, and we're really pulling for these two. When the priest asks Jarrette if he'll marry her, he practically sings: "I do, I do, I do." But when it's Ayanna's turn... yeah, she says yes, too. (Jarrette is visibly staggered by all the tension.)

Yay, they did it! They jump the broom and share an intimate Champagne toast to "the rest of our lives together." When Iyanna asks Jarrette if he'll have her back, he replies: "Like a thong in a butt crack." It's not Shakespeare, but we'll take it.
