Matt's Inside Line: Scoop On The Pitt, The Way Home, Doc, Elsbeth, Chicago Med, Leverage, FBI: International, Upload, Fire Country And More!
Is The Way Home building up to a break-up? What had Doc's rival off his game that fateful day? What guest stars does Leverage: Redemption have on tap? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)
Will The Way Home's Kat and Elliot be breaking up this season because of everything that's happening, especially Thomas Coyle? –Ivan
We can't answer that, but we can say that what transpired recently between Kat and Thomas, and Elliot and his ex-wife Emma, plays a big role in this Friday's episode. Also, there's a karaoke moment that speaks volumes.
When will we learn more about The Pitt's Dr. Collins? –Jada
Any scoop on The Pitt Episode 9, written by Noah Wyle? –Adriana
Fans of Collins will want to get eyes on Episode 7 as soon as it drops this Thursday night at 9 pm ET. In terms of learning more about her personal life, you can expect further insight in Episode 11. Meanwhile, Episode 9, written by Wyle, ends on Season 1's most distressing cliffhanger yet.
Any word on when the final season of Upload will air on Amazon Prime? –Gary
Filming wrapped in the fall, and I am hearing that the series is on track to return this year — no sooner than April, though. And quite possibly much later.
Thanks for all of the recent Doc scoop, but what about Dr. Miller? When will we learn more about the patient he killed? —Sandra
As a matter of fact, this Tuesday's episode of the freshman medical drama (9/8c, Fox) will go deep with Scott Wolf's character, revealing how and why he was off his game on that fateful day that Amy can't remember... yet. Watch an exclusive sneak peek above, involving Miller's son and anger issues.
Is there a place to locate addresses for the three big networks and Hallmark? I would like to have a way to give them feedback. –Susie
ABC has a web page/form to fill out, as does NBC. CBS invites you to comment on their socials, and Hallmark can be emailed at Viewers@HallmarkMedia.com.
What can we expect from Elsbeth's personal life in the second half of the season? –Shirley
You can expect to see more of Elsbeth's family, particularly her son Teddy, who returns in the Feb. 20 episode. "Teddy, we know, is dating Roy, and so I think we're going to delve more into what that relationship is," star Carrie Preston shares. "And Roy is going to take a fascination with what Elsbeth does for a living. And so, Teddy and Roy are going to help out in a case coming up."
Any scoop on the serialized storyline on Elsbeth? –Dee
Michael Emerson will resurface as Judge Crawford in the Feb. 20 episode and continue to be a formidable foe. "Judge Crawford is very powerful, very hard to reach and to have any meaningful impact on him, but Elsbeth is tenacious," star Carrie Preston says. "Elsbeth knows that there's something there, so she's like a dog with a bone, and she's going to get that bone, and she's going to gnaw on it, and she's going to get right down to the marrow. So you'll see that coming up as the season reaches its climax."
Any scoop on Leverage: Redemption Season 3? Maybe also a premiere date? –Ellis
During his visit to TVLine this week, Noah Wyle shared that on the guest star front, his real-life daughter Auden will be back as Harry's kid Becky, and that Lucifer's Rachael Harris appears in an episode. Wyle was a bit fuzzy on other details (after so long a time), but "I do know that the episodes turned out really well, and I wore a lot of silly costumes." As for a premiere date, Prime Video remains mum, but I'd place good money on sometime this spring — meaning, as Wyle put it, Max's The Pitt wrote, filmed and streamed a whole season since Leverage was last on.
How long will Fire Country's Audrey and Bode be together? I am hoping it will not be a continuous romance. –Donna
This Friday's episode brings the promise of Bode and Audrey's very first kiss, so... I'd say you'd better buckle up. Audrey and Gabriela, meanwhile, continue to bond this week over swim lessons and what not, and in a way that leads the latter to realize that she needs to have more fun, that her whole life has been about "goals, not taking breaks."
Any FBI: International scoop? Bonus points if it's about Andre, Amanda or Smitty! –Stephanie
I will choose Door No. 3, and tell you that an upcoming case provides an unexpected opportunity for Smitty to... explore a new side of herself.
Hey, hope this finds you well. Dying to know if there is any update on a fifth season of Trying? –Iain
I asked around for you, about the British comedy that dropped Season 4 back in May 2024, and there is nothing to report at this time.
Will we see Dr. Frost's family on Chicago Med?–Laurel
"That remains to be seen, but we have talked about it," showrunner Allen MacDonald tells TVLine. "I guess the answer is, 'I'm not sure yet,' but I will have to decide that very, very soon."
On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely is it that we'll get an all-musical episode of Ghosts? –Stéphanie
"We hope so, so much," star Rose McIver said when we delivered your Q to her. "We had the musical element in this season with the Anything Goesepisode, which I had a great time doing. But we have so many cast members who are singers and dancers and performers of various sorts, we really, really hope that we could lean in and do that at some point in the future."
Could you find out the name of the song that played at the beginning of High Potential's Feb. 4 episode? –Leanne
That song was "Next to Normal," by Lucius off their 2022 album Second Nature.
