Matt's Inside Line: Scoop On The Pitt, SVU, Dark Winds, Ghosts, FROM, NCIS, Daredevil, Sheriff Country, Chicago Med, The Rookie And More!

Can #TheFBIs be saved? Will The Rookie break the Internet again? What NCIS mystery is about to be solved? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)

Is Dr. Collins gone from The Pitt for good? Will she not be in Season 2 or any future seasons? Is her story over? –N.S.
We are not at liberty to say whether you have seen the last of Dr. Collins in Season 1. What we can tell you is that if you thought last week's mass casualty episode was an emotional roller coaster, just wait until you see Episode 13 on Thursday. You are not ready.

Is there any chance that FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted are being shopped around? The shows are so good. –Demar
Sorry to say, neither of the cancelled CBS spinoffs are being shopped around at this time.

At the end of The Rookie's episode "Wildfire" (which aired Feb. 25), Lucy said the Sergeants Exam was in a few months. With how wacky the show's timeline is, will she take the exam before the end of the season, and if so, will we find out how she did? –Sarah
What I can share is that the Sergeants Exam comes up again this Tuesday — as does the prospect of Lucy becoming a full-time TO — and Tim puts forth a fun idea to test Seth-weary Lucy's true interests. Bonus scoop: #Chenford has an exchange this week that one-ups "I wasn't grumpy last night," but do not stop what you're doing to race clips/"CRYING SCREAMING THROWING UP" memes onto the Twitter, or you'll miss something even better.

Is there any possibility of seeing Noah in a future episode of SVU? It has been a while. –Fabio
I'm hearing there is a very good chance of that happening.

How many episodes will the first seasons of NBC's Grosse Pointe Garden Society and Suits LA consist of? And how many episodes will there be in Season 4 of Fox's The Cleaning Lady?–Shirley
The answers are 13... 13... and 12.

Last fall it was reported that Lifetime was developing two new All My Children movies. Have there been any updates? Are they still in development? –Steven
TVLine reported on that TV-movie franchise exclusively, and rest assured it is still in development.

What can you tease for Daredevil: Born Again's Kirsten McDuffie? –JadaMc
In the back half of Season 1, Nikki M. James' character is going to clock that Matt and investigator Cherry are taking secret meetings, and that's going to spark some trust issues between the law firm partners.

It's been YEARS since there was any news about the series order for Circe, based on the best-selling novel. Is it still happening or was it a victim of the Max cuts? –Carl
No one I've spoken to indicated that it's not happening, but neither is there any news to report — even after all this time.

Any early scoop on Creature Commandos Season 2? –Craig
Though the close of the Season 1 finale suggested that the Commandos are now comprised of The Bride, Weasel, Doctor Phosphorus, an upgraded G.I. Robot, King Shark, the vampire Nosferata and Khalis, that's perhaps all it was — "a suggestion of who [the team] could be," says showrunner Dean Lorey. "We are working on Season 2 right now," he recently told me, "so we're in the process of figuring out who exactly the team is going to be. But [the finale] is a pretty good suggestion of what it might look like." Lorey said he'll be writing Season 2 with "one or two other people," adding: "I think James [Gunn] will do some episodes as well. We're still figuring all that out."

Any big surprises coming up on NCIS? –Maria
This isn't a "big surprise" per se, seeing as the synopsis for tonight's episode indicates as much, but mystery girl Lily's identity is revealed to Parker this week, and the moment gave me actual chills. I audibly gasped. It's nothing I ever speculated.

I thought nothing could be better than NCIS, but NCIS: Origins just gets better every week. It is so real and full of soul searching. Any scoop? –Brenda
Tonight's episode updates us (but more importantly, Gibbs) on how Lala reaching out to ex-boyfriend Eddie went. But on the "real" and "soul searching" front you described, as I hinted here, this week's Mary Jo-centric hour is another of those surprisingly hard-hitting episodes, featuring a reveal at the end that made me audibly gasp. (What can I say, it's a gasp-y night of NCIS!)

Any news on when Season 3 of Apple TV's Foundation will start? –Russell
After being paused by the SAG-AFTRA strike and again by budget issues, filming on Season 3 wrapped last summer. Given the typical amount of post-production needed for the sci-fi series, a 2025 release date would seem plausible — but officially, there is no word whatsoever on the premiere timetable.

Was/is there any discussion about Dark Winds adding the character of Professor Louisa Bourebonette? –M. Read
During our recent TVLine Spotlight conversation (press play above), I delivered your Q to series lead and executive producer Zahn McClarnon, and he seemed skeptical that the acclaimed AMC drama will ever introduce the anthropologist character from the Hillerman novels. For one, "It's difficult to write all the characters [from the books] into a six- or eight-episode season," he said; secondly, "I don't know if that's a strong enough character." But most importantly, for those familiar with Louisa's role in the novels, Joe is "happily married" to Emma. Bonus scoop: If you've been awaiting an in-person Jim/Bern reunion, you will get one this Sunday — along with the awkwardest Jim/Ivan introduction.

When will Murder in a Small Town start up again? –Niki
Filming on Season 2 of the Fox drama began this month, but it's too soon to say if it will premiere this fall or possibly be held for midseason.

Anything on Fire Country and/or Sheriff Country? –Caio
With Morena Baccarin and W. Earl Brown (as Mickey's dad) already on board, Sheriff Country — which is set to debut during CBS' 2025-26 TV season — is now casting the series regular roles of sheriff Mickey Fox's chief deputy and right-hand man; Mickey's ex-husband Travis (what is Ben McKenzie up to these days?); and the Mickey-idolizing female deputy that Travis is now dating.

Matt, it looks like Ghosts is going down a "Will They/Won't They" path with Trevor and Hetty. Do you have anything on that front? –Fire
"Both Hetty and Trevor are very interested in status and power and money and winning, so whether they're on the same side or opposite sides, I think that that type of dialogue and tension will continue," star Rebecca Wisocky says of the pair's recent power friends alliance. "Whether or not they [as a couple] are endgame, I don't know. But I do feel like they have, and will continue to have, a lot more to say to one another."

Will Maggie and John's Chicago Med friendship shift into something more now that she and Loren are broken up? –Marie
"We'll have to see on that," showrunner Allen MacDonald tells TVLine. "It's always a dangerous thing, if you have a friendship, to cross that line, but it's also a very dramatic place to go. So that's what I'll say about that."

Is there any word on when we can expect to hear Jane Lynch lightly roast contestants on Weakest Link again? –Jonny
The question might not be when but if, seeing as NBC is not currently in production on any new Weakest Link episodes.

Any intel on FROM Season 4? –Ana
Season 4 of the MGM+ hit will be in production this summer, in Nova Scotia.
