Fargo Season 5 Premiere Date Set At FX — Oh Yah, We've Got First-Look Photos
Do you feel that chill in the air? Oh yah, Fargo is coming back soon, you betcha.
FX's Emmy-winning crime anthology will return for Season 5 on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 10/9c, TVLine has learned. The new season, with Noah Hawley once again serving as writer and showrunner, is set in the year 2019, with Ted Lasso's Juno Temple playing Dot Lyon, a seemingly harmless Midwestern housewife who is "suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind," per the official description. Mad Men's Jon Hamm plays North Dakota sheriff Roy Tillman, who's been on Dot's trail for years, with Stranger Things' Joe Keery as Roy's son Gator and Sam Spruell (Doctor Who) as enigmatic tracker Ole Munch.
David Rysdahl (Black Mirror) plays Dot's husband Wayne, with Jennifer Jason Leigh (Hunters) as Wayne's CEO mother Lorraine, who is "unimpressed with her son's choice in a wife and spares no opportunity to voice her disapproval." Dave Foley (The Kids in the Hall) plays Lorraine's in-house counsel and top advisor Danish Graves, with Lamorne Morris (New Girl) and Richa Moorjani (Never Have I Ever) as a pair of local cops who take note of Dot's erratic behavior. "But Dot has an uncanny knack for survival," the synopsis adds, "and with her back to the wall, she's about to show why one should never provoke a mother Lyon."
