The Queen’s Gambit dominated the Creative Arts Emmys this weekend, picking up nine technical awards for its limited series run on Netflix.
Other big winners included NBC’s variety sketch series Saturday Night Live (seven total wins, including Guest Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series) and Disney+’s The Mandalorian (seven wins, including Special Visual Effects and Stunt Coordination).
Among other notable winners: Maya Rudolph took home a trophy for Character Voice-Over Performance for her work in Netflix’s Big Mouth (in addition to her win for SNL); RuPaul won his sixth consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host For A Reality or Competition Program; and Netflix’s Queer Eye took home the gold for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, tying the record held by ABC’s Shark Tank.
An edited presentation of the Creative Arts Emmys will be broadcast on Saturday, Sept. 18 (8 pm ET/PT) on FXX. The main Emmys ceremony airs Sunday, Sept. 19, live on CBS.
