Emmy Nominations 2022: Succession, Ted Lasso, White Lotus, Hacks, OMITB and Euphoria Lead Pack

Nominations for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday morning and HBO’s Succession led the pack with 25 total nominations, including for best drama.

Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso and HBO’s The White Lotus racked up 20 nods each, followed by HBO Max’s Hacks and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (Season 1), which netted 17 each.

By outlet, Netflix and HBO proper amassed the most nominations, followed by Hulu (with a record 58 nods), Apple TV+ and Disney+.

Among broadcast-TV networks, CBS and NBC tied with 29 nods each, followed by ABC’s 23 and Fox’s six.

Of note, the farewell run of NBC’s This Is Us (stupefyingly) collected no major nominations — just one for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

The 74th Emmy Awards will air live Monday, Sept. 12 starting at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on NBC, as well as stream live for the first time on Peacock.

A week prior to NBC’s Emmycast, the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place over two consecutive nights (on Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4); an edited presentation will air Saturday, Sept. 10 on FXX.
