How will SEAL Team react to a big loss? Will Criminal Minds: Evolution tie up a loose end? Who is returning to Titans? Read on for answers to those questions plus scoop on many other shows. (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)
I have one SEAL Team question: Does the strip mall cop [who shot Clay] get to live, or do the guys dismember him in a most grotesque way? –Randy
I hear ya, but two things to keep in mind heading into this Sunday's episode, which kicks off the two-part season finale: 1) In Sonny's mind, at least, there is someone else to blame for Clay even being Stateside –and he will have harsh words for that person. And 2), unless Ben resurfaces, no one right now is quite sure what all went down that night. Bonus scoop: Sunday's episode ends with one of the series' best chase/action sequences ever.
Love SEAL Team. Hate the loss of Clay. When is the movie coming out? –Ann
Showrunner Spencer Hudnut told me, "The focus right now is on Season 6 and Season 7" (the latter of which has not been formally ordered), so "I don't really have an update on the movie."
Question of the day... WHERE IS DOG IN #TWD? –Jeremy
As The Walking Dead inches ever closer to its series finale, "Dog is at an unspecified location. He's been taken by some bad soldiers," EP Angela Kang makes clear. "Maybe this is saying too much, but there were some COVID production reasons why it was harder to use Dog this year as much as we would have liked. There was a moment where Daryl said that the soldiers had taken Dog, which was just adding insult to injury, so he is somewhere amongst the [Commonwealth] soldiers. They were like, "Oh, let's take him! He can be one of our canines!" But Dog is still out there."
Will Anirudh Pisharody be back on 9-1-1 at all this season [as probie Ravi], or will his time be devoted to Big Sky? Ravi was such a great character and deserved more screen time. –Whit
You sorta answered your own question yes. Pisharody is busy on ABC's Big Sky right now, so the earliest he could return to 9-1-1 would be for the springtime half of this season.
Will we get Luke and Penelope Garcia as a couple (or any type of romance between the two) in Criminal Minds: Evolution (premiering Thursday, Nov. 24)? Or are they gonna ignore the final episode of Criminal Minds where they agreed to go out on a date? –J.L.
You will learn what came of that dinner date almost instantly in the characters' first scene together.
Are there any JJ-centric episodes in Criminal Minds: Evolution? –K.
What you will find, at least in the early episodes of the Paramount+ revival, is that we spend more time exploring the BAU agents' interior lives. Meaning, with regards to JJ, you'll be privy to more of her and husband Will's home (and sex) life than ever before.
Hey TVLine, can you guys give me scoop on the new season of Criminal Minds? –M.J.
Showrunner Erica Messer was not kidding.
Can we expect any appearances from Titans' Donna, Jason Todd or Dawn this season? –Loo
I brought your question to Titans showrunner Greg Walker, who answered, "Yes — but not all three." I then realized I could/should have rephrased the question better! Whoops.
We have had a few glimpses into Agent Knight's (Katrina Law) backstory on NCIS. I would love to get some more insight. –Serena
More insight you shall get in the Nov. 21 episode, in which Kasie (played by Diona Reasonover, who also co-wrote the episode) spends Thanksgiving with Jess and her sister Robin (played by Andi Mack's Lilan Bowden), so as to try and keep the peace between the siblings.
Any news of when we will see Ginny & Georgia Season 2? –Austin
I am hearing early 2023.
Will we ever see Chicago Fire's Sylvie and Severide interact? Sylvie has been on the show for 5+ years and is Severide's wife's best friend, but they act like the other does not exist. –Lizzie
EP/co-showrunner Andrea Newman replied, "Severide plays everything close to the vest, and doesn't do a lot of 'hanging out' with anyone besides Kidd unless he feels a strong reason to, like he did when he showed up to support Violet in Episode 4 this year." That being said, "There is a cool (and shocking!) call coming up later in the season," Newman shared, "where Brett and Severide need to work together to save someone in a desperate situation, and their connection will deepen coming out of that story."
What's the deal with Malcom-Jamal Warner's role on Fox's Accused ? Should we be worried that he's leaving The Resident? –Arnas
The Accused is an anthology-style series and MJW is only in one episode, so worry not.
Longtime reader here (not an understatement, from the very beginning back in January 2011) but first-time emailer. The Chesapeake Shores finale was beautiful, particularly the ending montage. Any chances to know who sang the cover of Chris Daughtry's "Home"? –Elise
That vocalist was indie artist Debra-Jean Creelman.
When Freema Agyeman announced that she wasn't returning to New Amsterdam, [showrunner] David Schulner said that there would still be "surprises" for Sharpwin fans. Are they coming in future episodes? –Sophie
"We've got way more to come," Schulner tells TVLine, in response to your Q. "When I say you haven't seen the last of Helen Sharpe and Freema, I mean it."
What's going on with ABC's Avalon? It sounded really intriguing especially with Neve Campbell's casting. However it wasn't on the midseason schedule. Should we be concerned? –Sam
I think what is at play with Avalon and other thus-far-MIA "midseason" shows is our current understanding of the word "midseason," which no longer means "winter/after the holidays" (or, the MIDdle of the SEASON) but instead is best defined as "not fall." As for Avalon specifically, which was ordered straight to series, it is doing just fine and in fact just completed filming on its pilot.
I was looking at a few behind-the-scenes pics of the NCISverse crossover being filmed. Could it be possible that rescuing Hetty might be included? –Maria
I presented your theory to NCIS: LA's Daniela Ruah, who — having already told us she is very limited in what she can disclose about the NCIS/Los Angeles/Hawaii team-up — quickly responded, "I plead the fifth."
