Matt's Inside Line: Scoop On Criminal Minds, Found, The Gilded Age, NCIS: Sydney, Mrs Sidhu, Ghosts And More!

What familiar face is making the trek to Criminal Minds? What next "first" awaits NCIS: Origins' Gibbs? Has a cancelled drama Found salvation? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)

Criminal Minds Jeri Ryan Season 19
'S.W.A.T.,' 'Found,' 'NCIS: Sydney' and 'Criminal Minds: Evolution' guest star Jeri Ryan

Anything else you can share about the next season of Criminal Minds? –Bev
In addition to the teases shared here, I can exclusively (I think? You'll tell me!) report that Star Trek: Voyager alum Jeri Ryan — whose more recent TV credits include Dark Winds and Leverage: Redemption — will appear in the Paramount+ crime drama's Season 19 premiere, in an undisclosed role. "Jeri had worked with the director of the premiere, Doug Aarniokoski, for years on Star Trek, so they've known one another," Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer told me. Interestingly, Messer then began to reveal another Season 19 guest star, but deemed it too spoilery and refrained. "But yeah, Jeri is amazing," she instead added.

I saw that The Night Agent Season 3 recently wrapped filming. Do you have any hints about the new season? I loved Suraj Sharma on How I Met Your Father and am curious to see who he's playing. –Ally
None of the new Season 3 characters are being officially confirmed, though Jennifer Morrison let slip that she is playing the new First Lady and Genesis Rodriguez seems a perfect fit for the role of a Latina financial reporter chasing a huge story. As for Sharma, it's possible he was tapped to fill the role of a DIII collegiate wrestler turned forensic accountant who stumbles across a wave of transactions with geopolitical implications. As for Stephen Moyer and David Lyons, 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I thought the character of Kyle really clicked on Ghosts. And Pete mentioned in the finale that he's been spending time with Kyle, even though Kyle left Woodstone on not the best note. Might we see Ben Feldman again next season? –Valerie
"
We would love him to come back," says co-showrunner Joe Wiseman. "First of all, it's just a big character for us, plus we love Ben, who was so funny. I think there's a lot of places to go now that there's another person that could see ghosts, and like [Pete] said, he can't be too picky because he doesn't have a lot of options for livings that are willing to hang out and can talk to him!"

I would love any updates on S.W.A.T. EXILES! Thank you. –Deb
One of the untested and unpredictable young recruits I told you about last week has a secret beef with — wait for it — team leader Hondo.

Will we see JD and Agent Mackey get together on NCIS: Sydney? –Olivia
Given Etienne's betrayal in the Season 2 finale, Mackey's walls may be higher and more rigid than ever. "Have [she and JD] both kind of gone back into their shells? It remains to be seen," says showrunner Morgan O'Neill. As the team's co-leads each privately deliberate if they should take that chance on workplace romance, "I don't know whether, intellectually thinking, 'this was a bad idea' is ever as powerful as the emotional pull of 'this is a good idea,'" says O'Neill. "So, I think Season 3 will definitely pierce that tension."

With two Yellowstone spinoffs in the works (not including the upcoming Y: Marshals for CBS), can you tell us if The Madison and 'Beth & Rip' will go to Paramount Network or Paramount+? –Shirley
I checked into this, but there is still no word on where either of those offshoots will air/stream/be distributed on 8-track tape or whatever.

Anything on the next steps for NCIS: Origins' Gibbs? –Jessica
Having witnessed his first elevator stoppage and glimpsed some rules in Season 1, it sounds like another "first" is right around the corner in Season 2. "One thing we haven't shown yet, that I'm really excited for, is Gibbs' first interrogation," co-showrunner Gina Lucita Monreal told me. "We've seen him question people, outside in the field and in the elevator, but we haven't seen him yet in interrogation properly grilling somebody — and I'm excited to see what that first will look like."

Any news on a second home for the Frasier reboot? That's definitely a show that would be better off on a network. These 10-episode streamer seasons just don't work for sitcoms. –Mike
We are now six full months out from the revival's cancellation at Paramount+... and there is still nothing to report. Do with that information what you will!

How worried should we be about The Gilded Age's Gladys, on a scale of 1 to 10? Is she really doomed to a loveless marriage to a man who doesn't and will not care about her? How bad is the Duke? He seems scary. –Oncer
Regardless of whether Gladys and the Duke's marriage turns out to be a loveless one, there will still be plenty for you to love about what the rest of the season holds for this unlikely couple. Trust me, it's a good time of international proportions. And while I understand your fear of the Duke, it's actually his sister about whom you should be more concerned. Lady Sarah is going to be make Gladys' transition as difficult as possible, which might just require her to call for back-up.

Will there be a second season of Mrs Sidhu Investigates? –Dhivina
A rep for Acorn TV, which produces and streams the British mystery series, confirms for TVLine that it will not be returning for a second season.

Has Found found a new home or has it stopped looking? It has such a good cast with rich complex storylines, I hate to lose it (I know lots of readers agree). –Heather
Sources tell me that no new home was found for Found, and the cancelled NBC drama's "shopping" process has ended.

The trailer dropped for the Real Housewives of London, and there are some familiar faces for us Stateside Bravoholics. Any word on if this will be released on Peacock in the United States? –Evan
I asked around for you, but at this time there are no plans for Real Housewives of London to air or stream across the pond (meaning, on our side).
